Makeup is a tool for storytelling. Whether it is graphic editorial lines, glass skin, or sculptural avant-garde concepts, I collaborate with photographers and stylists to create high-impact looks that command attention on camera.

A closer look at the details of my pop art creation. The exaggerated eyes, glossy lips, and flawless, reflective skin are key to achieving this graphic, cartoon-inspired aesthetic for video shoots.

This fantasy look was built using custom-made geometric prosthetics to create a striking, sculptural effect. The makeup is kept minimal yet sharp to complement the headpiece, demonstrating my skill in both makeup application and special effects.

An editorial piece celebrating nature and color. I used a vibrant palette on the eyes and lips, complemented by fresh flowers, to create a look that feels both artistic and organic for this beauty photoshoot.

A powerful editorial look focusing on texture. I used gold glitter and foil on the eyes and lips to create a molten, high-impact effect that catches the light beautifully, perfect for a dramatic beauty story.

Inspired by the legendary Pat McGrath's work for Maison Margiela, this haute couture runway look features a glass-like skin finish and abstract color blocking. This video shows the transformation, including the eyebrow-erasing technique.

A group editorial shot for a jewelry campaign, where I created three distinct yet harmonious looks. I focused on glowing skin and unique eye makeup, from graphic liners to metallic washes, to complement the models' diverse beauty and the jewelry.

For this creative editorial, I used tiny floral appliqués and a dewy, ethereal base to craft a look that feels like a wearable piece of art. This style is perfect for fashion stories with a whimsical or romantic theme.

About this collection

My avant-garde work goes beyond standard beauty application. When we are shooting concepts—whether that is glass skin, gold leaf embellishments, or graphic pop-art liners—I strictly account for how studio lighting interacts with product textures. I use a combination of theatrical-grade Kryolan products and professional setting techniques specifically so these artistic elements hold their shape and intensity throughout long studio hours, without shifting or melting under harsh stage lights.

The Art of the Editorial Concept

Editorial and avant-garde makeup requires a different mindset than traditional occasion styling. On set, I do not just look at the face; I evaluate the lighting setup, the mood of the shoot, and the narrative the photographer is capturing. Whether we are aiming for a high-gloss, wet-look finish or incorporating three-dimensional elements like pearls, flowers, or metallic foil, every choice is intentional and designed to translate perfectly for the lens.

Technical Execution

Because avant-garde looks often involve unconventional materials—from prosthetics to graphic paint—product integrity is non-negotiable. I use a mix of high-end consumer brands like NARS and Huda Beauty alongside professional theatrical-grade products. This ensures that features like glass skin stay reflective and graphic lines remain crisp, even after hours of shooting. For looks requiring eyebrow blocking or prosthetic application, I rely on skin-safe adhesives and advanced texture manipulation techniques learned during my CIDESCO certification.

Collaboration on Set

I operate as a member of your creative team. I spend time analyzing the lighting setup—whether we are working with harsh studio flashes or soft, natural sunlight—to ensure the makeup translates perfectly on camera. My goal is to create visuals that stand out, whether it is for a high-fashion digital campaign, a model portfolio, or a conceptual magazine story. My studio is in Ghatkopar, but I travel across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area to work directly on-set with photographers, stylists, and models to ensure every detail is perfect before the shutter clicks.
