Celebrating Identity Through Pride & Avant-Garde Styling
Fashion is my way of telling a story. These projects are deeply personal, focusing on identity, self-expression, and the raw beauty of just being yourself.
This is 'BLOSSOM', a visual story we created with Sushant Divgikr to celebrate Pride. The video shows the transformation and blossoming into one's true self, using flowers, color, and a stunning Saisha Shinde gown to tell a powerful story of identity.
A look at the making of a true queen. This video shows the process of styling Sushant Divgikr as Rani Ko-He-Nur for 'Queen of the Universe'. The futuristic silver gown by Bloni Atelier was a showstopper.
A tribute to Pride and to the incredible Sushant Divgikr. This video showcases some of the stunning looks we created for 'Queen of the Universe', including a magnificent red Sabyasachi lehenga, re-imagined to celebrate drag artistry.
About Celebrating Identity: Pride & Avant-Garde
When we take on projects that celebrate identity, there is no room for standard styles. For these avant-garde pieces, I spend hours with my team sourcing textures and elements that feel honest to the person I am styling. If you are looking for a look that pushes boundaries, whether for a performance, a bold shoot, or your own self-expression, we need to collaborate closely on the concept first, so let us start there.
Identity-driven styling is about more than just clothes. It is about building a visual language that speaks to who you are at that exact moment. My process for avant-garde projects starts with deep conversations. We identify the core message—be it empowerment, transition, or raw emotion—and then build the look piece by piece.
My Approach to Narrative Fashion
Take the work I did with Sushant Divgikr for 'Queen of the Universe' or the 'BLOSSOM' pride shoot. We didn't just pick outfits. We looked for theatricality and texture. For the silver Bloni Atelier gown, we wanted to capture a futuristic, powerful drag aesthetic. For 'BLOSSOM', the focus was on the transition from societal pressure to self-acceptance, using flowers and color to represent that bloom.
Bringing Vision to Life
I handle the full spectrum of the transformation:
- Conceptualization: We sit down to define the mood. Are we going for ethereal, rebellious, or high-octane glam?
- Resourcefulness: I tap into my network to source pieces that are not available to the public. If a piece needs to be modified to fit the narrative, I make it happen.
- The Team Effect: For shoots, I bring a styling team to ensure that even with quick changes, the vision remains consistent and the finish is flawless.
Whether you are an artist needing a character look or simply someone wanting to express your truest self through fashion, I am here to help you build that visual world.
