About Kathak Certification Program
This program goes beyond basic choreography; we focus on the discipline required for formal certification. Our Curriculum: From Basics to Certification
Our Kathak sessions are designed for students who want a structured progression. We prioritize the foundational vocabulary of the dance, moving from simple beats to complex time cycles (Taals).
What you will learn:
- Foundations: We start with 'Tatkar' (footwork) and 'Hasta Mudras' (hand gestures) to build your technical base.
- Technique: You will learn 'Chakras' (spins) with a focus on body control, core engagement, and balance.
- Abhinaya: This is where we bring the dance to life, using facial expressions and movement to tell traditional stories.
- Theory: For those pursuing the certification route, we cover the essential theory required for formal examinations.
The Malang Environment
We train in our dedicated studio in Ashok Vihar, North Delhi. The space features wall-to-wall mirrors and professional sprung wooden flooring, which is essential for protecting your knees during repetitive footwork. We cap our batches at 15 students to ensure that every dancer receives direct, hands-on feedback from the instructor.
Performance & Community
We believe dance is meant to be shared. Our students regularly participate in 'Baithaks'—intimate studio showcases—and larger auditorium performances. These opportunities help you transition from the classroom to the stage, building confidence and professional presence.
