About The 'heART' Collection: My Personal Work
Every piece here comes from my own studio, born from a desire to turn raw emotions—and the occasional mess—into something that reflects love and self-growth. Whether you are drawn to the controlled chaos of my fluid acrylic pours or the tactile depth of my palette knife abstracts, these paintings are not just decor; they are a piece of my journey looking for a new home.
My art practice is a constant exploration of what happens when we stop trying to be perfect and start being honest. The 'heART' series started during the lockdown, simply because I wanted to send a little love out into the world. It evolved into a way for me to practice 'radical responsibility'—taking ownership of my experiences and translating them onto canvas.
Technique Matters I play with two main styles in this collection:
- Fluid Art: Using the 'dirty pour' or 'swipe' methods, I let gravity and fluid dynamics dictate the pattern. It is unpredictable and requires me to let go of control, which is the most therapeutic part of the process.
- Textured Abstracts: Here, I use a palette knife to build layers of paint. These pieces are more deliberate, allowing me to explore depth, contrast, and the shades of grey that exist in our daily lives.
Commissioning a Piece If you see a style you love but want it in specific colors to match your home or office, I am happy to create a custom piece for you. We can chat about the vibe, size, and the emotions you want the painting to hold. Each piece is hand-painted, signed, and ready to bring a bit of that honest, messy beauty into your space. Since these are original acrylic works, they take a bit of time to cure properly, but I ensure they are packaged safely for transport.
