ESTIMATESAbout Family & Cultural Ceremony Decoration
This is the work I love most. Traditional South Indian ceremony decor - banana leaf, marigold, tuberose, brass lamps. It's where I put my best energy, especially at the 25,000+ range.
What I Decorate
- Seemantham / Srimantham (Baby Shower): Banana leaf or Pichwai backdrops, tiered brass stands with fruits and sweets, ornate sofa for the mom-to-be, custom welcome boards with her name. Signature touch - banana-leaf wrapped jasmine bunches for female guests, displayed at a dedicated jasmine stall.
- Gruha Pravesh (Housewarming): Marigold and mango-leaf torans at the entrance, banana plants flanking the door, floral rangoli at the doorstep. Inside - pooja room deity decor, staircase draping, garlands across ceilings.
- Half-Saree (Langa Voni): Woven banana leaf walls (my signature for this), marigold and tuberose pedestals, pallaki (palanquin) on request.
- Naming / Thottil (Cradle): Wooden cradle with floral wrapping, crescent moon arches, Krishna-themed cutouts. Christian baptism also covered.
- Upanayanam, Pellikoduku, Satyanarayan pooja, Varamahalakshmi, Vinayaka Chaviti, Srinivasa Kalyanam, Sankranti, Chhath Puja: Each done with the right traditional motifs.
How I Work
I prefer fresh flowers and banana leaf, but I'll mix in modern touches if that's your vibe. I'm honest about scope - if your budget needs a simpler setup, I'll tell you what fits. My quote is my quote, no negotiation.
Booking & Cancellation
30% advance locks the date, balance on event day. If you cancel, the advance isn't refunded. If you reschedule and I'm free on the new date, your advance carries forward. If I'm not free, 50% of the advance is refunded.

My Story
Hi, I'm Gayatri, the founder of Mahinava Events (since 2018). Events run in my family - my father was in this business before me, and I've carried that legacy into my own work. Born and raised in Bangalore, I'm that person who loves a stylish party but will still drag my husband for a temple date. 'Temple date ki veldamaa?' is my go-to. I do all kinds of decor, but my real love is floral and traditional ceremonies - Seemantham, Gruha Pravesh, Satyanarayan pooja. That's where I put my best work.
My Work
What I Decorate - Traditional South Indian ceremonies (Seemantham, Gruha Pravesh, Half-Saree, Pellikoduku, Upanayanam, poojas), themed birthdays for all ages, and intimate wedding functions.
Where I'm Strongest - Floral and traditional work at the 25,000+ range - banana leaf backdrops, marigold and tuberose, brass lamps, fresh-flower stages. This is the work I love most.
How I Work - Honest about what will look good and what won't. If your idea won't work, I'll tell you. If it will, I'll make it happen.
My Quote, My Quote - I price fairly and I don't negotiate down. I'd rather walk away than do half-hearted work at a lower price.
Where I Work - Whitefield-based, 10km free travel. For 20,000+ jobs I cover anywhere in Bangalore. No destination work outside the city.
Languages I Speak - English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu. Comfortable with all four, so most Bangalore families can chat with me in whatever feels easiest.
What's Not Included - I focus on decor. Photography, catering and party activities I leave to specialists - mytribe will route those separately.
