About Family & Cultural Ceremony Decoration
Why I Do What I Do
Decorating for family and cultural ceremonies is personal for me. I grew up loving the colors, smells, and sounds of our traditions. Now, I get to bring that same feeling to your celebrations, whether it's a big Srimantham or a small pooja at home.
What I Offer
- Srimantham & Baby Showers: I set up spaces that feel joyful and warm for the mom-to-be. Think eco-friendly banana leaf backdrops, Pichwai art themes, brass stands with fruits and sweets, and custom welcome signs.
- Naming Ceremonies: The cradle (thottil) is the star here. I decorate it with fresh flowers, soft fabrics, and can do both traditional and modern styles. I also handle Christian ceremonies with soft color themes.
- Gruha Pravesh: I love making the main entrance pop with thick marigold garlands and banana plants. Inside, I decorate pooja areas, staircases, and doorways for that festive vibe.
- Half-Saree Functions: My signature is the woven banana leaf wall and lots of marigold and tuberose strings. If you want a grand entry, I can arrange a palanquin (pallaki) too.
- Other Ceremonies: Upanayanam, Srinivasa Kalyanam, Sankranti, Chhath Puja - I do them all, with a focus on tradition.
How I Work
I like to keep things real and collaborative. If you have a Pinterest board, show me! I can work with your ideas or start fresh. I prefer natural, eco-friendly decor but can mix in modern touches if you want. I know budgets matter, so I try to keep things flexible. If you want something simple or grand, I’m happy to help make it happen.

My Story
Hi, I'm Gayatri, the heart behind Mahinava Events. Born and raised in Bangalore, I'm that person who loves a stylish party but will still drag my husband for a temple date. 'Temple date ki veldamaa?' is my go-to. I blend this mix of tradition and trend in every event I do. For me, decor isn't just about pretty things - it's about setting the vibe, making memories, and keeping it real.
My Work
Event Decoration for All Occasions - I do decorations for birthdays, baby showers, wedding receptions, haldi, naming, housewarmings, half-saree, festival poojas and more.
Fully Customized Themes - You have an idea? I bring it to life - Spiderman party, floral housewarming, anything. Everything is made just for you.
Traditional and Floral Decor - From seemantham banana leaf decor to modern balloon decor Bangalore, I mix old and new, always with a personal touch.
Complete Event Look & Fun Add-ons - Not just backdrops - I do entrance, tables, welcome boards, and can arrange magic shows or nail art if you want.
