Community Art Workshops for Connection in Bengaluru

I host art circles in local parks and creative hubs to help you break away from your routine and connect with others. No experience is required—just bring your curiosity.

Come join me for a session where we explore art as a medium for building connections with ourselves and the world around us. These sessions are designed to be accessible and inclusive for everyone.

An invitation to a monthly Community Circle in Cubbon Park. We explore collective art creation as an approach to self-reflection, spontaneous connections, and fun.

Snapshots from our Community Circle in Cubbon Park. We used visual art activities to connect with ourselves, the Earth, and each other in a playful and grateful way.

Snippets from a weekend of workshops. We gave ourselves permission to play with colors, be open, and walk away with new reflections and friendships.

The joy of getting your hands messy with paint! This participant is showing off her colorful hands after a playful art session in the park.

A participant showing off his paint-covered hands at an outdoor festival. These events are all about letting loose and having fun with art.

A participant at an outdoor art jam, fully in his element. Creating art in nature with a community is a truly special experience.

About this collection

You might be wondering if you need to be an artist to join these circles. The truth is, I provide all the supplies and guidance for a reason—to get you out of your head and into the flow. Whether we are painting at Copper+Cloves or sitting on the grass at Cubbon Park, the focus is never on the final product. It is about the messy process, the spontaneous conversation, and the relief of creating something alongside other people.

Why I Host These Circles

We live in a world that often tells us to perform rather than just exist. My community art circles are a quiet form of resistance against that. When we gather in a space like Cubbon Park, we aren't there to make a masterpiece that belongs in a gallery. We are there to use art as a language to speak about things we often suppress—our stress, our need for connection, or just the desire to get our hands dirty.

What to Expect

These sessions are designed to be accessible. I believe art should be a common good, not a luxury. That is why for many of my community events, I operate on a sliding scale or a contribution-based model. My goal is to ensure that anyone who needs to slow down and create has a place at the table.

We keep the activities simple. You might find us engaging in:

  • Collective Murals: Contributing to a single piece of art that represents the group energy.
  • Nature-Based Play: Using materials found around our venue to sketch, paint, or build.
  • Mindful Reflection: Taking time to discuss what we felt while creating, not just what we made.

Who This Is For

These workshops are for the beginner who thinks they cannot draw a straight line, for the professional who needs a mental break, and for anyone in Bengaluru looking to meet people outside of apps and screens. I bring all the paints, brushes, and paper. You just need to bring yourself, comfortable clothes, and an open mind. Come ready to get a little paint on your hands.

Hi, I'm Madhuri. I’m a self-taught artist who thinks the world needs more play and less 'do not touch' energy. I run these community sessions to turn strangers into friends through shared, messy creativity.
