Collective Murals & Interactive Group Art Projects
I turn blank walls into shared canvases where anyone can contribute. Whether it is a giant coloring book or a community mural, these projects are about breaking rules and creating together.
This is an interactive art installation where we brought a giant coloring book to life on a wall. It’s an invitation to break the rules we learned as kids and see the art in what was once considered a mess.
From a single outline to a vibrant masterpiece, this mural shows the power of collective creativity. Each leaf was colored by a different person, turning the tree into a living mosaic of our community.
This wall at a school was brought to life by the students themselves. Their handprints fill the letters of the word 'HOPE', creating a powerful and personal piece of art for their space.
The 'Brushed by Hope' mural coming to life at a mental health festival. It was a joy to watch everyone, from little kids to adults, express themselves so colorfully and contribute to this collective piece.
More scenes from the 'Brushed by Hope' installation. The mural became a canvas for shared stories and collective healing, showing how art can bring people together.
Watch this tree mural come to life, one brushstroke at a time, with contributions from so many wonderful people. Tag a friend you spot in the video!
A group of participants adding their personal touch to a collective tree mural. This is what community art is all about.
About this collection
Collective murals are not about perfection, but participation. When we paint together, the focus is on the act of expression, not the final polish. If you are looking to host a team bonding session, a school event, or a community gathering in Bangalore, I bring the outlines and paints, and your group brings the energy to fill them in.
Most of us grew up being told not to color on the walls. My interactive installations flip that script. I provide the structure, the outlines, and the sustainable materials, but the artwork is only complete when you add your own mark to it.
Why Host a Collective Project?
- Connection through creation: Painting together levels the playing field. In a group setting, rank and background fade away, replaced by the simple, human act of choosing a color and filling a shape.
- Art as a safe space: I have led projects at venues like the Bangalore Creative Circus and the National Mental Health Festival. These sessions are designed to be low-pressure and therapeutic. You do not need to be an artist to contribute.
- Sustainability first: We often use non-toxic, eco-friendly paints. Whether it is a large-scale wall mural for a corporate offsite or a temporary coloring installation for a school, my process emphasizes mindful creation.
How It Works
I offer two main ways to collaborate:
- Guided Murals: I sketch a large outline based on your group's theme or story. We then spend a few hours (or a full day) filling it in, layer by layer. This is popular for team-building exercises where the final wall serves as a lasting reminder of the day.
- Free-Flow Coloring: Think of a giant coloring book. These are excellent for festivals, weddings, or family events. I set up the canvas, and participants stop by throughout the day to leave their own touch.
If you have a wall that feels too empty or a team that needs a creative outlet, reach out. We will find a way to make it colorful, meaningful, and fun.

I am Madhuri. I believe art galleries should not come with do not touch signs, so I build installations you are meant to play with. I prefer messy, honest creativity over perfection, and I am always looking for the next wall that needs a story.
