Hello, I'm Renuka. My journey started when I wanted safer, natural products for my daughter. This led me to study Ayurvedic Skincare and Herbalism, and in 2019, MadebyRen was born from a simple passion for effective, near-natural skincare.
The story of my Abhyangasnan Ubtan Soap is the story of my brand. It began in 2018 when my daughter disliked the stickiness of traditional ubtan, inspiring me to create a soap that kept the ritual alive in a form she would love.
My mother has always been my biggest inspiration. Her skincare secrets were simple: rose water, glycerin, and consistency. Here she is, at 76, sharing her timeless wisdom that "natural is best."
From my great-grandmother to my mother, I learned that beauty isn't about trends, but about simple, consistent care. Watching my mother's nightly cold cream ritual taught me that a few good products used with love are all you need.

When I mix a batch of Abhyangasnan Ubtan or whip up a fresh body butter, it moves from my workshop to your doorstep within days. This means the potency of the Ayurvedic herbs stays intact, but it also means my stock is limited. If something looks freshly poured, it is.
My skincare philosophy is simple: cleanse, hydrate, protect. I do not believe in 10-step routines that leave you tired, and I certainly do not believe in chasing viral fads.
My journey began in my own kitchen when my daughter refused to use a sticky, traditional ubtan. I realized then that tradition needs to adapt to fit our lives today. That is why I create products like my signature Abhyangasnan Ubtan Soap and Rose Water mists. I blend old-school Ayurvedic wisdom with modern requirements, ensuring every item is SLS and paraben-free.
