Base & Ingredients
- Formulation: Hand-poured using moisture-rich bases like Goat Milk, Shea Butter, or Glycerin.
- Active Additions: Includes Ayurvedic herbs (Manjishtha, Wild Turmeric) and edible grade exfoliants (Coffee grounds).
- Scent Profile: Fragranced with mild essential oils (Sweet Basil, Lemongrass) rather than heavy synthetic perfumes.
Designs & Variants
- Abhyangasnan: Flower-shaped bar with sandalwood, neem, rose petals, and multani mitti.
- Coffee Bean: Bean-shaped or bar format containing ground coffee for mechanical exfoliation.
- Honey Manjishtha: Geometric or honeycomb molded designs focusing on anti-pigmentation.
Packaging Details
- Inner Layer: Tightly shrink-wrapped in clear plastic to prevent sweating in humid weather.
- Outer Layer: Simple eco-friendly paper wrap or card-stock sleeve with a self-designed adhesive ingredient label.
Daily Face & Body Treatments
Face Care Specifications
- Cleansers (100ml): Gel or cream-based washes (Saffron & Licorice, Basil) free from SLS.
- Toners (100ml): Rose water base infused with 2% Hyaluronic Acid and a spray nozzle attachment.
- Lip Care (10g): Tinted or non-tinted balms using Beeswax and Castor Oil in small jars or tubes.
Body & Hair Formulations
- Body Butters: High-density solids using indigenous Mahua or Shea Butter; texture is thick and requires scooping.
- Hair Care: Mild, low-lather shampoos (Hibiscus, Watermelon) and oil blends (Sal Butter, Argan) in 100ml or 200ml volumes.
Container Hardware
- Material: Clear or Amber PET plastic bottles and jars.
- Dispensers: Standard flip-top caps or screw lids. Pumps are generally not used due to the density of the natural formulation.

Why I Do What I Do
I’m Renuka, and for me, skincare is about going back to basics. My mom always said, “Are, kuch khaas nahi, sab kitchen se hi hai” (Nothing fancy, it’s all from the kitchen). That’s stuck with me. I believe in simple routines - cleanse, hydrate, protect - and doing it every day, not chasing trends.
What I Make
My journey started with my daughter refusing sticky ubtan, so I made it into a soap. Now, I handcraft small batch natural soaps like Abhyangasnan Ubtan Soap (turmeric, sandalwood, neem, rose), Honey Manjishtha Soap for blemishes, and cooling summer soaps like Aloe Lemongrass. Every bar is made by me, in micro-batches, so you get fresh stuff.
Face & Body Care
I don’t believe in “skin types” - your skin changes with mood, weather, stress. My ayurvedic skincare blends are gentle, pH-balanced, and always SLS and paraben free. Cleansers for acne, dryness, or just a pick-me-up. Hydration boosters like Rose Water Face Mist (with hyaluronic acid) and Red Aloe Vera Gel for skin and hair. Body butters that sink in, not sit on top. Lip balms that heal, not just tint.
How I Work
It’s just me, some passion, and a bit of desi jugaad (creative fixes). No big machines, no shortcuts. Everything is plant-based, cruelty-free, and I run a bottle back campaign for eco-friendly skincare packaging. Not perfect, but always honest.

My Story
Hi, I’m Renuka. MadebyRen started in my kitchen, thanks to my daughter who hated sticky ubtan during Diwali. Instead of forcing, I tried to fix it. My mum’s simple routines always stuck with me - she used a few things, but with full love. I spent years feeling odd about my skin, but now, dhuaan chhatta (smoke cleared), I just want healthy skin. Every product I make, it’s got a bit of my journey in it.
