About Modern Ethnic & Festive Wear
The secret to these shots is the contrast. When I shoot traditional festive wear, I skip the static poses and lean into movement and context—like pairing a heavy red lehenga with a vintage Vespa. It grounds the grandeur in reality, making the portraits feel like a slice of your life rather than just a formal studio setup.
Tradition carries weight, but it shouldn't feel heavy. In this cluster, I focus on styling that respects the heritage of your outfit while embracing a contemporary aesthetic. We move beyond rigid, formal photography to capture the energy of your festive moments.
The Approach
I look for locations that offer texture—a rustic wooden door, a clean concrete wall, or even the busy streets of Mumbai. The goal is to let your outfit shine without the backdrop fighting for attention. For the 'Vespa Bride' series, we used a bright red scooter to add a playful, urban layer to a traditional bridal look. It’s about balance; the intricate embroidery of a lehenga meets the sleek, sharp lines of the scooter.
When to Book
These sessions are perfect for Diwali, engagement announcements, or just because you feel like dressing up. We typically work with 2 to 3 outfit changes to get a mix of close-up portraits and full-length shots. If you have a specific heirloom jewelry piece or a new festive set you want to highlight, we plan the lighting to ensure every detail stands out.
