Traditional & Festive Portrait Shoots
Traditional outfits deserve more than just a quick selfie. Whether it is a saree for a festival, a kurta for a special occasion, or your Garba night look, I capture the movement and color of your attire against the authentic backdrop of Mumbai streets.

A beautiful back profile shot showcasing an elegant hairstyle with flowers and stunning earrings, paired with a lovely pink saree.
A classic over-the-shoulder portrait. Her glance towards the camera is captivating, and the night lighting adds a touch of glamour to this traditional look.

A stylish portrait from the same event. The way she holds her dupatta and looks back at the camera is full of attitude and grace.
A close-up shot of another attendee in a beautiful green and pink traditional outfit. Her round sunglasses add a quirky and fun element.
Another dynamic shot of the woman in the multi-colored lehenga, this time capturing the flow and movement of the skirt.
A cinematic video of a woman in a beautiful blue saree walking down the steps of what looks like a ghat, creating a timeless and graceful scene.
A powerful and stylish portrait of a woman in a modern draped saree, taken against the backdrop of Mumbai's historic architecture.
A strong, confident pose from the same session. The classic architecture complements the modern-ethnic vibe of her outfit.
About Traditional & Festive Moments
Most photographers want you in a studio with artificial lights, but that does not do justice to ethnic wear. I prefer picking a spot like a historic street or a colourful market, waiting for the golden hour, and catching the way your fabric moves. You just bring your outfit and your vibe, and I make sure the city does the rest.
Why go outdoors for festive portraits?
Traditional clothes are meant to be seen in life, not under sterile studio lights. When I shoot a saree or a lehenga on the streets, we get dynamic shadows, natural light, and textures that you cannot recreate inside.
My approach to festive shoots
- No stiff posing: You will not find me asking you to 'hold this' for 10 minutes. We keep it moving. If it is a Garba shoot, we capture the swirl of the skirt. If it is a casual ethnic look, we capture you walking and laughing.
- Location scouting: Whether it is the architecture of CSMT, the narrow lanes of South Bombay, or a vibrant local market, I choose locations that complement your outfit colors.
- Your comfort is key: You handle your own makeup and hair, which keeps the shoot feeling real. My job is to focus on the frame, the lighting, and the 'ek number' moment.
Practical details
- Outfit changes: You are welcome to change outfits during our session. We usually plan the sequence based on the light and location.
- Editing style: I go for moody, cinematic color grading. I want your photos to look like stills from a film, not just raw captures.
- The result: You get high-res images that actually look like you, just sharper and more stylish. Perfect for your social media or just keeping as a memory of a time you looked your best.
