About Urban & Cinematic Portraits
I do not rely on generic backdrops for these shoots. For my urban and cinematic portraits, I actively scout gritty locations like parking garages, industrial alleys, or rooftop edges, and I bring custom RGB lighting setups to turn these plain spaces into high-fashion frames.
When we shoot urban portraits, the location is just half the story. I focus heavily on how light interacts with your silhouette, whether we are using existing streetlights or portable RGB gels to mimic that neon-soaked movie aesthetic. My process starts long before the camera comes out. We talk about the mood you want. Are we going for fierce, editorial, or something raw and street-style? I work with you to pick an outfit that cuts through the grit of the city.
We are not just taking photos in a parking lot; we are creating a character. If you want that specific cinematic look, we spend time adjusting angles and body language to ensure the final frame feels like a still from a high-budget production. Whether you are building an influencer portfolio or just want to capture a specific side of yourself, my goal is to give you images that command attention. For my urban and street sessions, we typically spend 2 to 3 hours on location, allowing us to experiment with different exposures and shadows without the rush of a traditional studio environment.
