About Our Safe & Nurturing Spaces
Beyond the high walls and 24/7 security, we have built features like our unique sensory pathway right into our outdoor space. It is not just for play; it is a seven-surface track designed to build balance and sensory awareness as kids explore barefoot. We believe safety should not feel like a fortress, but rather a sanctuary where children are free to get messy and learn with confidence.
When we started Little Red Hen in 2014, we made a conscious choice to move away from the sterile, institutional feel of typical schools. We wanted our Kothanur and Thanisandra campuses to feel like a second home.
Why Our Environment Matters
Every inch of our campus is designed with a child's perspective in mind.
- Security You Can See: Our premises are monitored by CCTV, surrounded by 6ft walls, and staffed with dedicated security personnel. We want you to drop your child off and head to work without a second thought about their safety.
- Sensory-Rich Outdoors: From our sandpits to our sensory pathways, we prioritize outdoor exploration. We believe that gross motor skills—running, jumping, and balancing—are best developed in nature, not on a screen.
- Safe Indoor Havens: Whether it is our nap areas or activity rooms, everything is designed to be child-safe. We use non-toxic, age-appropriate materials and ensure our indoor play areas are cleaned daily, so rain or shine, your child is in a healthy environment.
The Little Red Hen Difference
We know that children learn differently when they feel safe and cared for. Our small group sizes (max 7 kids per batch) allow us to really observe and interact with each child. We aren't just watching them; we are engaging with them. From our in-house kitchen where we prepare balanced meals, to our flexible play-based curriculum, everything is built to support your child's natural curiosity. We invite you to step into our campus, see our facilities firsthand, and understand why we think of this space as a haven for early learners.
Little Red Hen
We started Little Red Hen back in 2014, a group of us women with a shared dream of moving away from the typical 'school' vibe. We wanted spaces that felt like home—where your child isn't just a student ticking boxes, but a little explorer who feels safe enough to be themselves. We know that when a child feels secure, that is when they truly start to learn.
