Inspired by the Masters Art Classes for Kids
We turn famous paintings into playdates. See how your little one can explore the styles of Van Gogh and Monet while finding their own artistic voice in our Richmond Town studio. 🎨✨
A young artist channeling her inner Van Gogh! Here she is, creating the beautiful swirls of a 'Starry Night' sky. It's a wonderful way to learn about brushstrokes and color.
Adding her own creative flair with vibrant oranges and yellows to her 'Starry Night' inspired piece. I love seeing their personal interpretations shine through.
Exploring the magic of watercolor-resist painting, inspired by the great Claude Monet. This little artist is using crayons and watercolors to create his own beautiful water lilies.
Another student deeply engaged in her Monet-inspired artwork. This technique of using wax to resist the watercolor paint creates such a magical reveal.
Look at this beautiful pond of colorful water lilies! She did such a fantastic job capturing the feel of Monet's work while making it uniquely her own.
About this collection
We do not lecture about art history here. Instead, we use fun, tangible techniques like watercolor-resist painting to capture the soft light of Monet's water lilies or thick brushstrokes to channel Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Your child will not just learn about famous painters, they will get hands-on experience experimenting with the actual methods these artists used to create their masterpieces.
How We Teach Art History
Art history often feels like a school subject, but at Little Creatives Club, it feels like an adventure. When we talk about Claude Monet, we skip the dates and focus on the texture. We use crayons and watercolors for a wax-resist technique that mimics the dreamy, fluid look of his famous water lilies. It is a tactile experience that helps children understand light and color without feeling like they are in a classroom.
Why Technique Matters
For Vincent Van Gogh, it was all about the movement. We guide our little artists to experiment with heavy brushstrokes and bold colors to recreate the swirl of a starry sky. This teaches them about color theory and composition in a way that feels natural, not forced. We emphasize that there is no 'wrong' way to paint a masterpiece. Whether they are in our Richmond Town studio or our Shanti Nagar location, the focus is on the process and the joy of creating something new.
Our Approach to Small Groups
We keep our batches small, typically with a 1:5 teacher-student ratio. This allows us to give each child the guidance they need to master these techniques at their own pace. We provide all the materials, from student-grade watercolors to cartridge paper, so you do not have to worry about the setup or the cleanup. We just want your child to come in, get a little messy, and leave with a painting they are proud to hang on your fridge.
Little Creatives Club
We are Little Creatives Club. We believe every child has a unique vision, and art history is just a fun starting point for them to explore it. Our small, cozy batches are all about messy hands, happy hearts, and discovering new ways to paint.
