Traditional Maharashtrian Bridal & Festive Styles
I create timeless Maharashtrian looks that respect tradition while letting your personality shine. Whether it is a classic Nauvari elegance for your wedding or a sharp Paithani drape for a festive event, I ensure every pleat is secure and every look feels like you.
A classic green Nauvari saree, also known as a Kasta saree, is a staple for Maharashtrian brides. This full-length view shows the perfect fall of the drape and the signature pleats at the back.
The transformation is my favorite part. This video shows a client's transition into a stunning Maharashtrian bride, complete with a beautifully draped Nauvari saree and traditional jewelry.
A close-up of the Nauvari look, highlighting the intricate details of the drape, the traditional jewelry, and the floral hair accessory (gajra). Every element works together to create a complete picture.

This bride's Vidhi look features a deep blue saree with a stunningly draped pallu that accentuates the intricate work on her blouse. The back view is just as important as the front.

This vibrant purple Paithani saree with a green border is a perfect example of a festive Maharashtrian look. The drape is kept clean and elegant to let the colors and the fabric shine.
For this look, I paired a traditional blue Paithani saree with a luxurious red velvet shawl. This shows how you can layer different fabrics and textures for a royal and unique bridal style.

About Maharashtrian Bridal & Festive Styles
My signature Maharashtrian styling focuses on structural integrity. I use precision pleating and specific pinning techniques—especially for heavy silk Nauvari or Paithani sarees—to ensure your drape stays flawless from the first ritual to the final photo, without you having to adjust anything.
Creating a traditional Maharashtrian look is about balancing grace with practicality. A Nauvari (nine-yard) saree, for example, requires specific tension in the pleats to maintain its iconic silhouette. I don't just pin the fabric; I sculpt it to suit your frame so you can walk, sit, and dance with total confidence.
My Maharashtrian Bridal Specialties
- Nauvari & Kasta Styles: Mastering the traditional nine-yard drape is an art. I ensure the kashta (back pleat) is secure and the front drape sits perfectly, allowing for ease of movement.
- Paithani & Silk Styling: Whether it is a regal Paithani or a heavy Kanjeevaram, I adapt the pleating to the weight and texture of the fabric. Heavy borders need careful handling, and I use specific anchoring techniques to keep the pallu from slipping.
- Pre-Pleating for Events: For brides or busy festive days, I offer pre-pleating services. This saves you hours of stress, meaning your saree is ready to wear in minutes while maintaining professional, sharp pleats that last all day.
- Custom Styling: I have styled everything from subtle Haldi yellow drapes to royal blue reception looks. Each style is customized to your body type, ensuring you feel comfortable and elegant, not restricted.
Based in Navi Mumbai, I travel to your wedding venue to provide hands-on styling. My goal is to make sure your attire looks as stunning at the end of the ceremony as it did at the start.
