My Philosophy: Beauty, Progress, and Artistry
I believe in progress, not just for myself but for every woman I work with. Whether it's a bridal look or learning the art of a perfect drape, my goal is to help you feel capable, confident, and deeply rooted in our traditions.
This is me, Laxmi Pawar. My passion is helping women feel confident and capable, whether it's through makeup, hair, or the art of saree draping.
A little about my philosophy. I am not a woman trying to impress; I am a woman trying to progress. My focus is on helping you gain a skill and the confidence that comes with it.
Celebrating Gudi Padwa, the Maharashtrian new year. This festival is a beautiful reminder of our traditions, and I love styling myself and my clients in classic drapes for these special occasions.
Performing the Gudi Padwa puja. My work is deeply connected to my cultural roots, and I bring that respect for tradition into every saree I drape.
A candid moment from our Gudi Padwa celebration. These are the moments that inspire my work, blending family, tradition, and the timeless elegance of a saree.
About Meet Laxmi: My Philosophy
When I say I am here for progress, I mean it in the practical sense. My studio in Kharghar is not just for makeup appointments, it is where I host my certified saree draping workshops. We do not just watch videos, we spend hours learning how to handle heavy silks, master body-specific pleating, and fix the drape so it stays perfect for a full day of events.
My work is about more than just applying makeup or pinning a saree. It is about aatmnirbhar (self-reliance). When you sit in my chair or join one of my workshops, you are learning skills that last long after the event ends.
The Maharashtrian Influence
Everything I do is inspired by the grace of our culture. From the precision required for a perfect Nauvari drape to the soft, glam look for a reception, I focus on the details that make you feel like yourself. My style is a blend of modern aesthetics and traditional values, ensuring that whether you are a bride or a guest, you look like the best version of yourself.
The Workshop Experience
I started my certified saree draping workshops because I saw so many women struggle with fabrics and fit. I wanted to change that. In our sessions, we cover:
- Advanced techniques like box folding for travel.
- Pre-pleating for speed and comfort.
- Handling heavy, stone-work sarees without the stress.
- Body-specific measurements so your drape fits you perfectly.
This is a hands-on process. You will be doing, not just watching. It is about helping you feel kartrutvavaan (capable) in your own style. Whether you are in Navi Mumbai or elsewhere, I am here to ensure you walk out with a skill, a certificate, and a lot of confidence.
