About The Art of Nauvari Draping
Whether you want the royal Peshwai or my fusion Devsena style, my focus is on structural stability without the bulk. I use internal pinning to hide the mechanics while creating a slimming silhouette that holds perfectly for hours, so you are not constantly adjusting your pleats or kashta during your ceremony.
Precision in Every Drape
Traditional Nauvari is a beautiful art, but it can be heavy if not executed correctly. My draping philosophy is built on mobility and elegance. Using the proprietary Devsena technique, I reduce waist volume for a sleeker silhouette while ensuring the Kashta stays perfectly tucked. This allows you to walk, dance, and participate in rituals without the worry of a wardrobe malfunction.
Styles Tailored to You
- Peshwai (Royal): Grand, regal, and perfect for the main wedding ceremony. I focus on creating a flowing 'Payghol nerya' that catches the light.
- Brahmani (Traditional): Timeless and elegant. This is about precision in border placement and ensuring the Nath sits perfectly.
- Devsena (Fusion): A modern approach to the 9-yard drape that gives a more structured, skirt-like finish—ideal if you want tradition with a contemporary touch.
The 'Less is More' Approach
It is never just about the fabric. I believe your hair, makeup, and saree need to function as one cohesive look. I help you set the Khopa (traditional bun), secure the jewelry, and ensure your pallu is pinned to showcase your necklaces without snagging the silk. My goal is to send you to the mandap feeling light, confident, and authentically you.
Fabric & Protection
I work with everything from stiff new Banarasi and Kanjivaram silks to slippery georgettes. I use premium, rust-proof pins to protect your heirloom sarees, ensuring they remain pristine even after hours of wear.
Shraddha Patkar
I am Shraddha, and for me, the perfect Nauvari is about balance. It is about keeping the traditional roots intact while making sure you actually feel like yourself when you step out. I do not just drape; I build a look that lets you move freely and celebrate without constantly checking a mirror.
