Strength, Flexibility, and Teamwork for Kids
Building strength and flexibility takes more than just muscles—it takes grit. At Aerial Zone, we combine structured gymnastics drills with a supportive team environment to help your child grow stronger, inside and out.
Flexibility is key in gymnastics. Here, students work on their backbends, supporting each other and improving together.
Group conditioning exercises like sit-ups and leg lifts are a core part of our warm-up routine, building the abdominal strength needed for every skill.
Our gymnasts work on their flexibility with synchronized bridge poses and stretches. These drills are essential for preventing injuries and improving performance.
From wall-assisted handstands to bar hangs, our group drills are designed to build strength and camaraderie among the students.
A student practices a wall-assisted split handstand, an advanced stretch that improves flexibility in the shoulders and legs.
Even our youngest gymnasts learn the importance of strength. Here, they practice hanging from the bar to develop their grip and upper body strength.
About Strength, Flexibility & Teamwork
In our classes, we do not just focus on the final flip. Every session is built on a foundation of conditioning—animal walks, core-strengthening leg lifts, and synchronized stretching. This is not just about gym skills; it is about preparing the body to handle the demands of gymnastics safely, ensuring your child learns the basics before moving to advanced moves.
Our Approach to Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a demanding sport, and my goal is to build athletes who understand that the process matters as much as the result. We operate out of a high-ceiling warehouse facility in Gottigere, fully matted with professional-grade equipment, including beams, bars, and a vaulting horse.
Why Conditioning Matters
We don't skip the hard stuff. Before the tumbling begins, we dedicate time to:
- Flexibility Drills: Synchronized bridge poses and splits to increase range of motion.
- Core Strength: Leg lifts, hanging drills, and holds that are essential for every move on the bar.
- Agility Work: Animal walks and obstacle courses that improve coordination.
How We Train
I keep group sizes small so that I am always on the mat, spotting and correcting form. Whether your child is working on a wall-assisted handstand or their first cartwheel, I am there to ensure they are safe. We use crash mats, foam barrels, and wedges to keep the learning curve secure. This environment is built for kids and teens to build confidence, not just medals. If your child is ready to put in the work and learn what they are truly capable of, this is the place to start.
