Creative Workshops for Children in Bengaluru
At Kriya, creativity is a process of exploration rather than a final product. We invite children to express themselves through hands-on work in a calm, prepared environment that builds confidence, patience, and independence.
Look what we made! The children proudly display their unique tie-dye creations. This activity is a fantastic way to learn about colors, patterns, and the magic of transformation.
From pulp to paper! The children were fascinated by the process of making their own paper. This hands-on craft teaches them about recycling and the value of creating something new from old materials.
Celebrating Friendship Day by making our own friendship bands. This simple act of tying a band on a friend's wrist is a beautiful lesson in companionship and care.
A warm hug between friends. Our Friendship Day celebration was filled with moments like these, reminding us that building strong, kind relationships is one of the most important life skills.
Heartfelt thank you notes and drawings from our students on Teacher's Day. These small, handmade tokens of appreciation mean the world to us and symbolize the special bond we share.
About Creative Expressions
We believe that when a child chooses to weave, mold clay, or experiment with tie-dye, they are doing more than making art. They are refining their fine motor skills and building the quiet confidence that comes from saying, 'I did this myself.' Our sessions are intentionally kept in small groups—typically 10 to 15 children—so that each child has the space and the guidance to work at their own pace without the pressure of a perfect final product.
Our Philosophy on Creativity
In our studio, we view creativity as a tool for developmental growth. Whether a child is working with river clay, learning to weave, or making their own paper, the objective is never just the craft itself. We focus on the act of doing—the way a child navigates a struggle with a material, the patience required to let paint dry, or the problem-solving involved in building a structure.
What Children Explore
Our workshops cover a broad range of experiences designed to engage curious minds:
- Tactile Arts: Pottery, tie-dye, and paper-making that teach children about transformation and texture.
- Sensory Play: For our younger learners, we focus on safe, non-toxic sensory exploration that helps build focus and fine motor control.
- Practical Life Skills: Cooking, gardening, and tool handling that encourage independence and responsibility.
The Kriya Approach in Kalyan Nagar
We operate out of our campus in Kalyan Nagar, providing an environment that is specifically set up for children. You will find child-sized furniture, supervised access to real tools, and a calm atmosphere where mistakes are seen as part of the learning cycle. We often encourage children to swalpa try maadi (just have a go), because the magic happens when they move past hesitation and start experimenting. If you are looking for a weekend space in Bengaluru where your child can be messy, curious, and totally themselves, our workshops offer that balance of freedom and guidance.
Kriya Global Montessori
We are the team at Kriya Global Montessori. We believe in setting up a beautiful, prepared environment and then stepping back to let the children's natural curiosity lead the way.
