When I started the Vijayalakshmi Makeup and Hair Academy in Bagalkot and established my lab in RR Nagar, Bengaluru, my goal was simple. I wanted a space where students learn the science behind the art. You will not find vague theory here. My classes are about what happens when you combine skin anatomy with the right product application.

The Curriculum

Students go through 21 days of intensive, hands-on training. We start with the basics of skin preparation and hygiene because, as I always tell my students, if you do not understand the base, you cannot build the look. The course covers:

• Advanced Hairstyling: Precision techniques that hold up for long events.
• Bridal Artistry: Moving beyond trends to create looks that complement real skin tones and textures.
• SFX Foundations: Understanding how to use silicone and latex safely without damaging skin.

Why This Training Matters

I share how to build a business because technical skill is only half the battle. You need to know how to talk to clients, how to manage your bookings, and how to source products that are safe. My students finish their portfolio day with work they created themselves, not work that was done for them.
