For our youngest players, it’s not about intense drills; it’s about movement, coordination, and falling in love with the game. We create a safe, playful environment where little ones build confidence one kick at a time.

About First Kicks: Our Youngest Stars (Ages 3.5-6)

At this age, our focus isn't on technical perfection but on building a bond with the ball. We replace intense drills with play-based learning—using games like dribbling around colorful cones or chasing the ball across our Juhu and Bandra turfs—to naturally develop motor skills, coordination, and spatial awareness.

Our Approach to First Kicks

We believe football should be the most fun part of a child's week. For our U4 and U6 groups, the goal is simple: get them active, get them comfortable with the ball, and get them smiling. We use a question-based coaching style rather than just giving orders, which helps kids think for themselves while they learn the basics.

What Happens on the Turf

  • Motor Skills & Confidence: Through creative games, we help kids improve their balance and agility.
  • Ball Familiarity: They spend the session interacting with the ball, learning to control it with their feet rather than their hands.
  • Team Interaction: This is their first taste of working with others, learning to share the pitch and communicate with teammates.

The Details

Every child starts with our official Hummel training kit, which includes a jersey, shorts, and socks, making them feel part of the team from day one. Our sessions are held at professional artificial turf grounds in Juhu and Bandra, ensuring a safe, even surface that is gentle on little knees. Whether it is a sunny morning or a rainy evening, we are out there training, rain or shine.

If you are worried about your child being shy, don't be. Our coaches are experienced in managing the energy of toddlers and ensure that every child gets individual attention in our 1:12 coach-to-player ratio. Many of our players join at 4 or 5 and stay with us for years, growing up within the #KopanaFamily.
