Karate & Boxing Classes for Kids
From their first punch to earning their first belt, we teach kids discipline, form, and how to stand tall. Join our Ninja Kids program in Mukherjee Nagar.
"Left hand se block karo, right hand se punch maaro." This is a typical karate class where I guide the kids through basic block and punch combinations. Repetition and clear instruction are how we make sure the technique becomes second nature.
Discipline starts early. In our Ninja Kids program, even the youngest students learn to practice their punches with focus and power. I teach them to keep their form clean and their energy high, building a strong foundation for karate and boxing.
One on one attention is key. I work closely with each child on their boxing fundamentals, like in this mitt work session. We focus on getting the basics right, ensuring every punch and block is correct before we build speed and power.
Heavy bag work is essential for developing power and proper striking mechanics in boxing. Here, a young student practices his combinations, learning to put his whole body into each punch.
We mix different disciplines to create well rounded martial artists. This drill combines shadow boxing to improve footwork and striking with wrestling sprawls to build defensive reflexes.
Earning a belt is a big milestone that gives kids a goal to work towards. Here is a group of our students who have just earned their yellow belts, a testament to their hard work and dedication.
I personally award each certificate during our belt promotion ceremonies. It is important to recognize and celebrate every step of a student's journey in martial arts.
Congratulations to another one of our dedicated students on her yellow belt promotion. Consistent training and a positive attitude are the keys to progress here at Knockout.
About From Basics to Belts: Karate & Boxing
In our Ninja Kids classes, we don't care how fast you move; we care if your guard is tight and your stance is solid. I spend the first half of the session just fixing minor errors in posture and movement—if the foundation is weak, the punch won't have power. We repeat drills like the 'Left-block, Right-punch' combination until it becomes muscle memory, ensuring every student builds the right technique from day one.
Building the Foundation
Martial arts isn't just about fighting; it's about discipline and control. Our Ninja Kids program blends the structure of Karate with the explosive energy of Boxing.
We start with the basics of stance and movement because that is where the real fight is won. You will see us drilling footwork, rotational punching, and defensive blocks on repeat. We use 20-25mm EVA foam mats for safety, allowing us to include fundamental gymnastics like cartwheels and rolls that improve agility and body awareness—essential skills for any young fighter.
The Belt System
Progression is key to keeping kids motivated. Our belt promotion system gives students a concrete goal to chase. When they earn that yellow belt, they aren't just getting a piece of fabric; they are proving that they have shown up consistently, listened to instructions, and corrected their mistakes. It is a milestone that builds confidence, both on the mats and in school.
Why Our Approach Works
We don't use fancy machines here. We use heavy ropes for climbing, truck tires for flips, and focus mitts for precision. Whether your child is quiet and needs to build confidence or is high-energy and needs a channel for it, our training is scaled to help them grow. We teach them that failing isn't the end—it's just a reminder to get back up and try again. That is the Knockout family way.
