Sports Psychology for Parents
Cricket isn't just played on the field. Your support at home is the foundation for your child's 10-year journey, and it requires a specific kind of mental resilience.
This collage captures the essence of our sports psychology workshops for parents. You can see the engaged audience, the interactive sessions, and our expert speaker, Ms. Mugdha Bavare, sharing practical insights. We create a community where parents learn and grow together.
A closer look at sports psychologist Ms. Mugdha Bavare during one of her sessions. She doesn't give lectures; she facilitates real conversations about handling pressure, communicating effectively, and nurturing a champion's mindset in your child.
This video gives you a feel for the atmosphere at our first-ever Sports Psychology Session for Parents. It was a unique initiative focused on helping parents understand their child's psychology, with many of our senior players also present to share their experiences.
Here I am speaking to parents at our workshop. My goal is to bridge the gap between coaching on the field and support at home. We must work together as one team to ensure the holistic development of the player.
About Sports Psychology for Parents
When I talk to parents, I don't give generic advice. I show you how to audit your home environment. We look at specific, actionable protocols for how you react after a match, whether your child scores a zero or a century. This isn't about cricket technique, it is about ensuring your home stays a 'Zero-Pressure' zone, which is the single biggest factor in an athlete's mental growth.
The 10-Year Roadmap
Cricket is a marathon, not a sprint. I tell every parent the same thing: keep patience for 10 years. Getting into an U-14 team is a start, but reaching the Ranji Trophy or Elite levels requires long-term development. My 1-on-1 Career Strategy Consultations focus on mapping this decade-long journey. We sit down for 60 minutes to analyze your child's current talent, physical limits, and mental hurdles to build a realistic roadmap.
Why Psychology Matters
We organize exclusive sports psychology workshops led by Ms. Mugdha Bavare, who has 25 years of experience with elite athletes. These aren't lectures where you sit and listen. These are interactive, practical sessions held at premium venues like the MCA Sharad Pawar Recreation Centre in BKC. You get to ask the hard questions about performance anxiety, managing expectations, and the financial commitment required for equipment and travel.
The 'Zero-Pressure' Zone
Your child shouldn't be scared to come home after a bad match. We discuss how to change the vibe at home so it remains stable regardless of match results. We look at case studies of successful players to understand how their families supported them during 'bura wakt' (tough times). Whether you meet me at our Bandra clinic or during a workshop in Shivaji Park, the goal is the same: to turn you from a nervous parent into a mentor who builds a champion's mindset.
