A Look Back at My Artistic Projects
Art is a journey of ups, downs, and stories. Here is a collection of the different murals, portraits, and digital works I have created recently.
A look back at my art journey in 2023. This video is a collection of some of the different projects I worked on, from wall paintings to digital art, showing the love and experiences of the year.
About Additional Art
Creating art is never just about filling a blank space, it is about capturing a feeling. Whether I am working on a digital portrait for a gift or a large-scale mural for a home, I start by listening to the story you want to tell. My process is very hands-on; we define the vibe together before I ever pick up a brush or a pencil, ensuring the result feels like a true reflection of your memories or your space.
My work spans various mediums, from the permanence of wall murals and acrylic paintings to the flexibility of digital illustrations. This variety comes from my belief that art should adapt to the moment.
How I Approach Different Projects
-
Wall Murals: When I transform a wall, I am looking for the story behind the room. Whether it is a vibrant mural for a cafe or a subtle design for your living room, I sketch the concept on my iPad first. This way, you see exactly what the finished wall will look like before I start painting.
-
Portraits & Sketches: These are personal. I do realistic acrylic portraits, graphite pencil sketches, and digital art. The goal is always to catch the emotion in the eyes—the 'pran' (life) of the subject. If you have an old family photo, I can even combine separate images into one cohesive composition.
-
Cultural & Spiritual Art: My Aagri Koli roots and my faith are the foundation of my style. I enjoy painting traditional themes, from Ganpati and Navratri decorations to portraits of historical figures. This is where I feel most connected to my craft.
Practical Details
I believe in transparency. Art is subjective, so if something doesn't feel right, I am more than happy to make adjustments. My goal is to make sure you are genuinely happy when you look at the final piece on your wall or your screen.
I work primarily across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, Pune, and Nashik. If you are looking for something specific—like a pet portrait in a suit or a memorial painting of a loved one—let me know. I love taking on quirky, meaningful challenges.
Karishma Joshi
I'm Karishma. For me, art is how I process life—the ups, the downs, and the faith I carry. Whether it's a large wall mural or a small, detailed portrait, I pour my heart into it to make sure it feels real and brings a smile to your face.
