About this collection
Belt examinations at our academy are formal, rigorous events, not mere formalities. Every student, regardless of age, must demonstrate perfect Poomsae forms and Kyorugi sparring technique before our visiting Masters and senior black belts. You see rows of students standing tall because they have been pushed to hold that posture for the duration of the test. When you see us with medals, it is because we don't treat this like a playground; we treat it like the traditional martial art it is.
Training Beyond the Basics
In our Banashankari dojang, you will not find casual gym-goers. You will find students who show up, listen to commands like 'Charyeot' (Attention) and 'Gyeongnye' (Bow), and push past their limits. We do not just hand out belts; students earn them through sweat and technical precision.
The Path to Black Belt
We follow a strict, traditional hierarchy. A student starts at white belt and earns their way up through consistent attendance, mastering sequences, and succeeding in physical grading exams overseen by experienced masters. Our students train in full gear during sparring, learning not just how to kick, but how to control their power. Whether you are aiming for district-level competition or simply wanting to develop self-defense skills and core fitness, the path is the same: discipline first.
Competition and Community
Our students regularly participate in the Karnataka Regional Taekwondo tournaments. Seeing our green, blue, and red belts standing on the podium is not luck—it is the result of 36+ sessions per quarter of intensive Poomsae and sparring practice. We build a diverse community here. You will see young kids, teenagers, and adults training side-by-side on our impact-absorbing mats, all united by the goal of becoming better than they were yesterday.
