Board breaking (Gyeokpa) is the ultimate test of focus here. It is not a stunt; it is the moment technique meets discipline. Here is how we build the strength and control required for a clean break.

A student executes a powerful flying side kick to break a board. This advanced technique, performed during an outdoor demonstration, showcases the culmination of agility, power, and precision.

Students with red and blue belts show their breaking technique. After bowing with respect, they each break a stack of tiles using a controlled and powerful downward strike.

Following the command 'Sijak' (start), a group of junior students break their tiles with a focused downward punch. This is a test of both physical strength and mental concentration.

In a synchronized demonstration, green belt students break tiles as part of their examination. The sequence begins and ends with the traditional commands of 'Charyeot' (attention) and 'Gyeongnye' (bow).

A group of boys, all green belts, perform a synchronized tile breaking routine. This shows their ability to follow commands and execute techniques together as a team.

With parents watching, students demonstrate their breaking skills. This video captures the moment of impact and the successful completion of the test, followed by applause.

Students perform a tile breaking sequence using different techniques. One student uses a punch while another uses a kick, showing the variety of breaking skills taught in our classes.

Two students, a girl and a boy, perform their tile breaking test. They demonstrate focus and respect before and after the break, which is a core tenet of our training.

About Power and Precision: Board Breaking (Gyeokpa)

We do not start with breaking boards. You train for months on proper form, stance, and impact mechanics before attempting any break during your belt promotion exam. When you see our students breaking tiles, you are witnessing the result of consistent, daily discipline under the watchful eye of our masters.
