About Kicking and Striking Drills
You won't just be throwing air kicks here. We focus heavily on hip rotation and impact. Whether it is a Roundhouse or an Axe kick, we use handheld kicking paddles and heavy shields so you feel the resistance. This ensures you learn to generate real power, not just snap your leg in the air.
Precision Through Repetition
This is not a cardio-kickboxing class where you move to music. At our Banaswadi dojang, we teach the science of the kick. We isolate the mechanics—hip chambering, point of impact, and foot placement—until the movement becomes second nature. If your form is sloppy, we stop and fix it.
The Gear We Use
We utilize a variety of tools to build that snap and power:
- Handheld Paddles: These are for speed and accuracy. You learn to control the kick so you hit the sweet spot every time.
- Kicking Shields: When you need to deliver force, we use heavy shields. You learn to drive through the target.
- Body Opponent Bag (BOB): For our senior students and private sessions, we use the BOB mannequin. It mimics a real opponent, allowing you to practice targeting, distance management, and realistic striking combinations.
Why Discipline Matters
Taekwondo is about mind and body working as one. You will learn to shout a strong 'Kiap' with every strike. This isn't just about making noise; it is about proper breathing and releasing tension. Whether you are a total beginner or a black belt student, you will find our group sessions intense. We train in a standard mat facility, and we take our etiquette seriously. Gyeongnye (bow) before you enter, and train with full focus.
