Torans: Colorful, Handmade Decor for Your Entrance
Welcome to my world of colorful, handmade torans. Each piece is a little burst of joy I have stitched together—full of bells, mirrors, and character to brighten up your doorway.
Meet 'Taana Baana', a toran that proves symmetry is overrated. This full-length view shows how the dancing flowers are playfully arranged at different heights, creating a sense of movement and fun.

About Torans: My Signature Creations
These are not mass-produced items sitting on a shelf. Every toran is a one-of-a-kind piece I hand-assemble, so the lace or wooden motif I use today might not be available next week. If a design catches your eye, grab it while you can because I rarely make exact replicas, as I love keeping my work as unique as the homes it goes into.
When you hang one of my torans, you are adding more than just a decoration. You are adding a bit of my home, my chaos, and my love for color to yours.
Why my torans are different
I treat every piece like it is going up in my own home. That means no plastic beads, no shortcuts, and definitely no sagging. Each toran is built on a foundation of sturdy, embroidered lace reinforced with felt backing. This keeps the structure straight across your door, even if it is a longer, heavier piece.
The 'Chhan Chhan' factor
I love the sound of a home, so I make sure these are not just visual treats. I use heavy metal ghungroos and bells that actually chime when the breeze hits them. It brings a gentle, traditional sound to your entrance that really changes the vibe of the space.
Customization and process
Because I am a one-woman show, I can customize things for you. Do you have a specific color theme for your mandir or entrance? Let me know. I can play with:
- Length: Whether you need a 3-foot standard or a 12-foot runner for a long corridor.
- Motifs: From wooden birds and elephants to kolam patterns or lotuses.
- Density: If you want a fuller, curtain-like effect, I can add filler strings to create that heavy, rich look.
Most of my work uses hand-painted wooden cutouts that I design myself. Since I paint and assemble everything, I can tweak the palette to match your walls. Just send me a message, and we can figure out what works best for your space.
