About Stone Textures & Finishes
People often ask if we use machines or manual labor for these finishes. The truth is, we need both. My CNC routers handle the initial precision profiling—getting those sharp, parametric geometries exactly right—but it is the final hours of hand-chiseling that actually unlock the stone's character, ensuring the finish feels organic rather than factory-made.
When you approach surface design, the first decision is usually material, but the second, and arguably more important one, is the interaction between light and texture.
My approach to stone textures centers on creating depth. For example, our 'Carvexa' finish uses basalt because of its resilient nature, allowing for deep, rhythmic chiseling that catches shadows differently throughout the day. Conversely, 'Raptura' relies on hydro-jet technology to erode the surface of Stone Galaxy Coral Granite, revealing an organic, raw look that a simple saw-cut finish cannot achieve.
Why the Process Matters

- Hand-Finished Detailing: Machines are excellent at removing material, but they cannot replicate the nuance of human touch. We finish every panel by hand to soften edges and remove tool marks that feel artificial.
