Project 704: Playing with Bold Palettes in Mumbai Homes
Most people play it safe with beige. We went the other way. This project is all about deep teals, terracotta walls, and custom furniture that actually works.
The dining area in Project 704 is a showcase of custom design and bold color. The table features a simple glass top on legs made of individually stacked marble spheres, set against a warm terracotta wall.
The living room of Project 704 is a study in contrasts. A plush, deep teal L-shaped couch sits against a terracotta wall, while a graphic black-and-white striped carpet from Jaipur Rugs adds a fun, modern element.
The master bedroom in Project 704 features a dramatic, custom-printed wardrobe with a tropical leaf pattern. The deep green walls and mustard yellow leather headboard create a rich, moody, and luxurious feel.
A tour of the daughter's room in Project 704, a playful space dominated by a cool turquoise color. The room features a large loft bed, integrated storage, and a secret door to the bathroom.
This video walkthrough of the dining room shows how we used a sliding partition to divide the kitchen and dining spaces. The bold color palette continues with a dark green ceiling contrasting the terracotta walls.
To bring a touch of luxury to the living room, we added this statement chair in a golden fabric. It sits next to the TV unit, which is colored the same as the wall to help it blend in seamlessly.
The study nook in the master bedroom features a sleek, modern desk and an ergonomic chair. The deep green wall color creates a calm and focused environment for work.
The daughter's room features a custom loft bed with built-in stairs that double as storage drawers. The space below the loft houses the wardrobe and a hidden door to the bathroom.
A close-up of the dining area, showing the custom table with stacked marble sphere legs. The abstract artwork on the wall picks up the colors from the room's palette, tying the whole space together.

About Project 704: Playing with Bold Palettes
Look at the dining table with its hand-stacked marble sphere legs or how we hid the bathroom door inside the wardrobe. We don't just pick wall colors; we build elements that change how you move through a room. If you are tired of generic catalogue homes and want something that actually feels like you, let's chat about your space.
When we took on Project 704, the challenge was simple but tough. The row house complex had a standard layout that made every home feel identical. The client wanted an identity that actually stood out, so we threw the rulebook away.
We leaned into bold color palettes. Think deep teals and rich terracotta walls. It is about creating contrast, not just matching colors. The dining table is a perfect example. I designed it with individual marble spheres stacked as legs instead of standard supports, paired with a simple glass top. It’s weird, but it works.
Functionality is the backbone of this design. The daughter’s room features a loft bed built for more than just sleeping; it creates a gathering space with storage hidden right under the steps. We even installed a motorized screen by the window for movie nights. In the master bedroom, we pushed the boundaries again by printing patterns directly onto the wardrobe shutters, concealing a secret door that leads straight to the bathroom. It is functional, it is efficient, and it definitely is not boring.
If you want an interior design that moves beyond the typical paint-job approach, we should talk. Whether you need custom furniture like a marble console or a full home transformation, I am here for the crazy ideas that make a space your own.
