The Monster Collection: Functional Sculptural Furniture
Furniture that hits you like a moment, not just a trend. From marble consoles to custom benches, I design sculptural pieces that hold their own in any room.
A closer look at the Monster Console, a piece of functional sculpture carved from a single marble block. The design incorporates open shelving and integrated globe lights, making it as practical as it is visually striking.
Here I am with a client on the Monster Console we designed exclusively for his home. It takes a lot of courage to embrace a design that's so different, and collaborations like this are what push the boundaries of what a home can be.
This is the Samaveta bench, a multi-functional piece designed for our collaboration with Serafini. It’s a seat, a side table for your coffee, and a planter all in one, carved with fluid lines that showcase the beauty of the material.
Introducing Monster 3.0, a sculptural coffee bar concept carved from a single piece of dramatic green marble. It’s designed to be a functional centerpiece, complete with an integrated coffee brewer, proving that even everyday rituals can be artistic.
Why should switches be boring? We designed our own custom switchboards cast in heavy aluminum, using motifs from our 'Gattu' monster mascot. For me, every detail, no matter how small, is an opportunity for design.
The Samaveta Console in red travertine, shown here with a plant to highlight its organic, sculptural form. The piece is designed to be a harmonious blend of raw material power and elegant, fluid lines.
A detail shot of the Samaveta Console, showcasing the beautiful, raw texture and rich color variations of the red travertine. The curves are hand-finished to create a smooth, tactile experience.
This console table from a Walkeshwar project features playful, stacked, multi-colored legs against a backdrop of Grey Myst marble. It’s a perfect example of how I love to mix bold, artistic elements with refined materials.
A shot from Milan Design Week 2024, celebrating incredible Indian talent. This futuristic yet culturally rich chair by Intent Made shows the kind of boundary-pushing design that inspires my own work.
A glimpse into my collaboration with Italian brand Serafini, featured in Living ETC. We worked together to create pieces that merge my bold design narrative with their incredible craftsmanship, resulting in furniture that tells a story.
About The Monster Collection & Other Sculptural Pieces
When you order a piece from the Monster Collection, remember that we are not just shipping a shelf. These pieces are carved from solid, heavy blocks of marble and often contain integrated tech like speakers and lighting. Because of the weight and precision involved in the milling process, my team handles the entire installation. It is not just about delivery, it is about setting up a permanent, functional monolith that changes how your room feels.
I believe your home should spark a conversation, not just blend into the background. That is why the Monster Collection exists. It is not about filling a room with standard factory sets. It is about creating one piece that anchors the entire space.
Most furniture you find is designed to be safe and easily replicated. My approach is the opposite. I work with stone, metal, and glass to create forms that feel alive. Whether we are milling a console from a single block of Grey Myst marble or casting custom aluminum switchboards, the goal is the same: function meets obsession.
The Process of Functional Art
If you are wondering how these pieces fit into a home, it is a collaborative process. We start by understanding your habits—where you sit, how you interact with your space, and what makes you feel comfortable. A bench is not just for sitting; it is a planter, a side table, and a sculpture all at once. My designs integrate audio drivers, hidden storage, and lighting because beauty without function is just a showpiece. I want you to live with it, touch it, and use it every single day. If you want something that truly breaks the mold, let us build it together.
