Art Classes for Young Creators in New Delhi
We create a welcoming space where children find their own artistic voice. From tactile toddler play to skill-building workshops for teens, our Panchsheel Park studio turns curiosity into confidence.
Welcome to Prath, a centre for art where we learn, create, and celebrate together. This short video shows the variety of artwork and the happy faces that fill my studio every day.
I believe in nurturing every child's creative side. My classes for kids provide all the materials and guidance they need to express themselves, build confidence, and have fun with paint and color.
Watch my young artists completely engaged in their work. I create a focused yet fun atmosphere where children can learn about color, form, and composition while working on exciting projects.
This video shows the progress of our "Colors of Africa" project, where students aged 9 to 14 explore abstract compositions. They are learning to use acrylics to create unique patterns and textures inspired by African art.
From the initial crafting process to the proud final display, you can see the journey of our young students creating beautiful wall hangings. These projects combine clay work, painting, and assembly.
Here is a quick tour of the art centre during one of our popular Saturday classes. You can see different groups at work in various sections of the studio, each buzzing with creative energy.
I encourage artistic development at every age. Here, an older student provides gentle guidance to a younger child as they work together on a beautiful floral watercolor painting.
My Saturday class for 9 to 15-year-olds is a great time for bonding and creating together. The students are focused on their individual projects while sharing a fun, collaborative experience.
A view of my iconic Saturday class for children over 8 years old. The studio is set up to allow for different projects to happen at once, from canvas painting to detailed ink drawings.
Students in my Saturday class work with drawing inks and watercolors to create intricate patterns. I provide individual attention to help each child understand the techniques and develop their skills.
About Art for Young Creators
Our Saturday sessions are built on a 1:6 instructor-to-child ratio, ensuring every young artist gets individual help with mixing colours or refining brushwork. We do not chase perfect results here. Instead, we focus on helping each child feel comfortable experimenting, whether they are working with clay or drawing inks, so they leave the studio feeling proud of their own unique creative process.
Since opening our doors in Panchsheel Park in 1994, our goal has remained simple: to make art a genuine, joyful part of a child's development. We see art as a journey that helps kids learn to observe, solve problems, and trust their own voice.
Our classes are structured to suit different developmental stages. For toddlers, we focus on tactile art, where sensory play with textures and colours builds fundamental motor skills. As children grow into the 9 to 15 age group, we introduce more complex techniques. You will see them exploring everything from African-inspired abstract compositions to intricate clay sculpture and assembly projects.
What to expect at the studio:
- A 1:6 instructor ratio that ensures every child gets individual attention.
- Professional-grade materials, including high-quality paints, drawing inks, and clay.
- A non-competitive environment where we celebrate the process of making over the final product.
Whether your child joins our Saturday art group or a special holiday workshop, the focus is on a supportive community. We love watching children discover that there is no wrong way to express themselves. We provide all the supplies, from easels to aprons—just bring your curiosity. It is about creating a space where school pressure fades, leaving room for pure creative fun.
Prath
We are Prath, and for 30 years, we have been turning our Panchsheel Park studio into a second home for young artists. Seeing former students return with their own children to paint and laugh together is the greatest reward we could ask for.
