From Engineering to Resin Art: My Creative Journey
They say art is a journey, and mine started with a transition from engineering to the fluid, unpredictable world of epoxy resin. Here is a look at my process and my first exhibition at The Bombay Art Gallery.
A proud moment from my first ever exhibition at The Bombay Art Gallery in Mumbai. Here I am, discussing one of my pieces with a visitor. It was an incredible experience to share my work.

This picture with my family at my exhibition means the world to me. Their support has been everything on this journey from being an engineer to a full-time artist.

Receiving a certificate at The Bombay Art Gallery exhibition. Moments like these motivate me to keep creating and pushing the boundaries of my art.
A relatable and funny take on the life of an artist. Before social media, it was all about the art. After social media, it's about creating the art while also creating content. Jo hai voh hai.
About My Journey & Exhibitions
Transitioning from an engineering background was not just a career shift for me, it fundamentally changed how I approach resin art. That technical foundation is exactly why I obsess over surface preparation, material ratios, and the scientific safety protocols that many artists overlook. Whether I am preparing a piece for a gallery exhibition or teaching a beginner at my Mulund studio, that engineer's mindset ensures the work is not just visually appealing, but structurally sound and built to last.
My Path to Art
I never thought I would be the person working 24 hours a day on art, but here we are. After four and a half years, what started as a timepass has become a full-time identity. Making that jump from a conventional engineering path to professional resin artistry taught me one crucial lesson: finishing is the key. The difference between a hobby project and a professional piece is often in the details—the sanding, the backside cleaning, and the mirror-gloss top coat.
Exhibiting in Mumbai
Showcasing my work at The Bombay Art Gallery was a massive milestone. It was a space where I could finally display the range of what I do, from intricate mantra frames embedded with crystals to large-scale conceptual wall art. Seeing people interact with the art in a gallery setting, rather than just on a phone screen, reinforced why I do this. It was not just about the sale; it was about connecting with people who appreciate the depth, texture, and layers behind each pour.
The Process Matters
If you see my workshops or my custom work, you will notice I do not gatekeep. I share the do’s and don’ts, the vendor lists, and the troubleshooting tips because I believe that if you want to learn, you should learn the right way.
Why My Approach is Different:
- Precision-First: My engineering background means I treat every piece as a project with specific technical requirements.
- Transparent Teaching: Whether it is a Zoom masterclass or an in-person session in Mulund, I teach the science behind the chemicals, not just the aesthetic.
- Local Sourcing: I focus on guiding students toward quality materials that don't come with insane retail markups.
If you have been thinking about starting your own resin journey or want a custom piece that actually holds up, let’s talk.
