About Bespoke Menswear
Getting the fit right on a sherwani or an Indo-western set is more than just measuring shoulders and length. We look at how the fabric drapes over your specific frame, ensuring the embroidery placement—whether it is subtle cutdana or heavy zardosi—sits exactly where it should, so the outfit does not just fit, it complements your posture.
At my studio in Vashi, I guide you through the process of creating an outfit that feels like it was made for you, because it is. We start by selecting the right base—Velvet for a winter wedding, or breathable Viscose Silk and Modal Satin for long festive hours.
The Process
If you are nearby, come into the studio to feel the fabrics and try on samples. If you are ordering from outside Mumbai, we work over video calls to guide you through taking your own measurements. We focus on construction details that most off-the-rack brands miss: canvas backing on hems to keep the shape, concealed zippers for a clean look, and built-in padding where needed to ensure the garment holds its structure throughout the event.
Coordination & Detail
Many clients come to me for family events where they want to coordinate with their partner or kids. If your partner is wearing a particular shade of green or gold, I can mirror those motifs, fabric textures, or embroidery styles in your kurta or Nehru jacket. It is a way to look connected without wearing matching prints. For the men's line, I favor placement embroidery—concentrated on the cuffs, collar, and placket—so the outfit feels rich but not overwhelming. We use aari, zardosi, and sequins, but I keep the heavy density reserved for reception wear, while keeping haldi or mehendi sets lighter and more comfortable for movement.
