Urban Architecture & Commercial Design
Design Strategy & Analysis
- Contextual Site Study: Deep analysis of micro-climate data including sun path and wind direction to ensure the building responds to its specific urban environment.
- Volumetric Massing: 3D modeling to determine optimal building orientation for natural light, ventilation, and street presence.
- Design Narrative: Detailed presentation outlining the form functionality and architectural logic.
Technical Documentation & BIM
- BIM Integration: Utilization of Building Information Modeling for collision detection and precise data analysis prior to construction.
- Comprehensive GFC Drawings: Full suite of Good for Construction drawings including floor plans, sections, and structural elevations.
- MEP & Grid Coordination: Optimization of column placement and concealment of HVAC/plumbing lines for a clean architectural shell.
Visualization & Detailing
- Photorealistic Rendering: High-fidelity 3D external views (Day & Night options) to visualize material textures and facade impact.
- Facade Engineering: specialized drawings for fenestrations, cladding materials (GRC/Stone), and shading devices like louvers.
Execution Advisory
- Material Specification: Selection of durable, city-resistant materials to withstand pollution and weathering.
- Milestone Supervision: 5-7 scheduled site visits during critical phases like plinth casting and facade finishing to ensure design fidelity.
Luxury Villa & Destination Architecture
Master Planning & Landscape
- Topographical Response: Specialized design for uneven terrain or steep slopes to minimize earth-cutting while maximizing views.
- Compound Layout: Integrated placement of main structures, swimming pools, decks, and hardscapes for a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
- Transition Spaces: Detailed design of courtyards, verandas, and water bodies using region-specific materials.
Structural Complexity & Fabrication
- Bespoke Roof Systems: Structural design for non-standard forms including parabolic curves, large cantilevers, or traditional tiled roofs.
- Custom Shop Drawings: Fabrication details for unique elements such as flying buttresses, exposed metal supports, and custom gutters.
- Material Engineering: Research and sourcing of local materials like laterite or exposed concrete for sustainable contextual grounding.
Climate Engineering & Sustainability
- Passive Cooling: Orientation strategies and fenestration design to maximize cross-ventilation and reduce thermal gain.
- Heavy Monsoon Proofing: Advanced waterproofing details specifically designed for high-rainfall coastal zones to prevent leakage.
Project Oversight
- Render to Reality Supervision: Regular site monitoring to assist local labor with complex geometric execution.
- Mock-up Review: On-site inspection of sample finishes (brick patterns, concrete casting) before full-scale application.
About Architectural Design
What Drives Us
I see architecture as a living conversation – not just with the land, but with everyone who steps into the space. My work’s guided by ‘quiet confidence’, meaning I aim for designs that feel right without shouting for attention.
How I Approach Design
- Context is everything. I always listen to the story the site’s telling, whether it’s the climate, the old banyan tree, or the vibe of the neighborhood.
- Mixing old and new – I’m big on heritage-inspired architecture. Sometimes it’s Goan roof tiles, sometimes stone arches, but always with a fresh twist.
- Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for me. I pick local, sustainable building materials, use passive design strategies for coolness and light, and keep things green where possible.
- It’s not just about how the place looks. I think about how it makes you feel, how it helps you connect, or just slow down a bit.
From Idea to Built Space
- I begin on-site, sketching and brainstorming.
- Mood boards, hand-drawn drafts, and physical models help the idea take shape.
- I get into the nitty-gritty with detailed drawings, BIM tools, and 3D renders.
- What you see in the render – I make sure it’s what you get in reality.
Projects I Work On
- Homes, luxury villas, high-rises – like Baia Villas in Goa, where layered living matters.
- Offices, clubhouses, and community spaces that blend into their surroundings.
- Sometimes, pro-bono work too, like rural schools built with local methods.
What matters to me? Creating places that quietly improve your everyday and actually belong.

My Story
Hey, I’m Jugal. Started JMA back in 2012—big dreams, small sketches, lot of chai. Columbia changed how I see cities, and working abroad? Total eye-opener. I’m all for mixing old-school hand sketches with new ideas, not just computer stuff. Awards are cool, but honestly, it’s the tough projects that keep me sharp. Been through my own share of ups and downs lately, but that’s brought a new kinda fire to my work.
My Work
What We Do - We handle architecture, interiors, and urban design—residential, commercial, hospitality, and more. From luxury villas to big city projects.
Context Matters Most - Every project starts with the site’s story. We let history, culture, even the weather guide our contextual architecture design.
Wellness in Every Space - We create urban wellness spaces—quiet, calm, intuitive layouts, where light and touch matter as much as looks.
Smart & Sustainable - Always prefer sustainable local materials. It’s practical, eco-friendly, and just fits better with each place.
Understated, Not Loud - We don’t shout. Our work’s about quiet confidence, letting the design and hand-sketched concept plans do the talking.
