A portrait is a collaboration to tell an honest story. This collection features cinematic, timeless images of legends and contemporary stars from the world of film, sports, and music.

Saif Ali Khan has a natural elegance that is a pleasure to photograph. This series for Hello! Magazine was about capturing his sophisticated and relaxed persona in different settings, from formal to casual.

Happy Birthday to the rockstar, Varun Dhawan. This shot was all about capturing his high-energy personality. We created a jam-session vibe, and he brought the character to life effortlessly.

Photographing an icon like Sachin Tendulkar requires capturing both the sportsman and the gentleman. This portrait, set against a natural backdrop, showcases his dapper style and calm, focused demeanor off the field.

A throwback to a fun summer shoot with Shah Rukh Khan. The idea was simply to capture a moment of pure joy. The splash of water and his spontaneous smile make this an image full of life and energy.

The extremely talented and vivacious Anushka Sharma. This portrait plays with a classic, androgynous style, using a fedora and suspenders to create a look that is both playful and powerful.

A quiet moment with the lovely Sonakshi Sinha. The soft lighting and relaxed pose bring out a gentle and introspective side. It’s a beauty portrait that feels natural and serene.

A collection of moments with Sonam Kapoor over the years. Her understanding of the camera is incredible, and these black and white portraits showcase her ability to convey different moods with subtlety and grace.

About this collection

When I photograph a subject, the most critical element is the feedback loop. We use real-time tethering to a professional monitor so we can review, adjust, and perfect the lighting and posture together on set. This process ensures that by the time we finish, we have captured not just a likeness, but the specific, candid energy you want to convey.

My approach to portraiture is rooted in the belief that less is more. Whether we are shooting in my Lower Parel studio or at a premium location, the goal remains the same: stripping away the noise to reveal the subject. For these shoots, I combine the precision of medium format cameras with the nuance of editorial lighting. This allows me to create portraits that feel cinematic and polished, yet deeply authentic. It is about understanding the geometry of a face and the mood of the room. When we work together, we are not just taking a photo, we are constructing a narrative. We might use a dramatic, single-source light for a moody monochrome look, or soft evening light for something relaxed and approachable. I work with a dedicated crew, including lighting assistants and digital technicians, to ensure the technical side of the shoot is seamless, allowing you to focus on the expression. This level of production is standard across my portrait work, whether for family legacies, personal brand portfolios, or editorial features. If you are looking for images that go beyond the typical snapshot, let us discuss your vision and create something timeless.
