My approach to celebrity photography is rooted in connection rather than just camera technique. I have had the privilege of documenting over 350 magazine covers, ranging from industry stalwarts to the next generation of talent. Each shoot is a deliberate collaboration. It is not just me and a camera, it is a full-scale production where we coordinate with professional stylists, makeup artists, and creative directors to sculpt the lighting and set environment before the subject even walks in.
Whether we are in my Tardeo studio in Mumbai or on a complex location shoot, the goal remains the same: high-impact, cinematic visuals. I often use dramatic lighting to accentuate expressions, a technique I have refined over years of working with actors and models. For editorial work, the collaboration is tight. We talk about the story, the mood, and the specific vibe of the magazine or brand. This planning phase is why the final images feel authentic rather than staged.
