About The Songwriting Process
When we collaborate on a song, I don't just want a list of events from your life. I want to know the vibe, the emotions, and the specific phrases that matter to you. We start with a 30-minute chat to capture your story, and from there, I handle the lyrics, melody, and production so the final track feels like it came straight from your heart.
Making a song is a journey, and I’m here to guide you through it. We start by discussing what you’re looking for. Are we going for a dramatic pop sound, or something more stripped-back and acoustic?
The Creative Journey
- The Chat: We jump on a 30-minute call to talk about your backstory. You tell me what you want to say, and I start sketching out themes.
- Drafting: I write the lyrics and melody. I keep you in the loop during this phase because it is your story, after all. You get one round of tweaks to make sure the words hit just right.
- Production: Once we’re happy with the lyrics, I head to the studio. Depending on your package, this could be a clean, demo-quality piano/guitar track or a full-band arrangement with professional mixing and mastering.
