Puppy Training & Young Dog Development in Delhi
Greatness starts early. I focus on identifying and shaping your puppy's natural drives to build a solid foundation for obedience, protection, or sport work.
I love working with puppies. Here, we are introducing a young Malinois to bite work using a sleeve, teaching it to grip confidently while under light pressure from a stick.
Teaching a young German Shepherd puppy how to pivot in a box. This exercise builds body awareness and is a foundational step for teaching precise, competition-style heeling.
Crate training is essential for creating a stable dog. Here, Jack the Malinois puppy learns to be calm and focused in his crate, and to exit only on command.
This is Daina, a Belgian Malinois puppy, during her first session with agility equipment. We introduce new obstacles slowly to build her confidence and coordination.
Dash, a Malinois puppy, learning to use the agility dog walk. Using touch commands and positive reinforcement, we make learning new skills a fun game for the puppy.
About Puppy & Young Dog Development
It is not just about teaching 'sit' or 'stay'. In these sessions, we focus heavily on environmental desensitization—exposing your pup to traffic, loud noises, and unstable surfaces—to ensure you raise a steady, confident dog rather than an anxious one. We build their nerve strength from day one so they are prepared for the real world.
Building a Working Mindset
Many pet parents focus only on obedience, but I focus on the 'drive'. Whether you have a Belgian Malinois, a GSD, or any other breed, early development is about unlocking their potential to learn. I use modern, positive reinforcement techniques, so you will often hear me shouting 'Shabash!' or 'Good boy!' when your puppy gets it right.
Core Skills We Cover
- Confidence Building: I introduce your puppy to wobble boards, low platforms, and new textures. This makes them physically and mentally resilient.
- Environmental Desensitization: We work in real-world settings across Delhi NCR to get your dog used to city noises, traffic, and strangers, preventing future fear-based behaviour.
- Grip & Prey Drive: For working breeds, we start with safe rag work and flirt poles to channel their natural instincts into structured play, not destructive behaviour.
- Handler Coaching: I do not just train the dog; I train you. I teach you how to maintain their drive with tug games and how to handle them during the high-energy puppy phase.
My Approach to Sessions
We work in 12 sessions per month, typically 3 sessions per week. Each session lasts 40 to 45 minutes to match a puppy's attention span. We train at your residence or at local open grounds. My goal is simple: a dog that listens to you, not just to me. We keep it practical and honest.
