Basketball is about more than just shooting hoops. Whether you are starting fresh or want to tighten up your game, we focus on the fundamentals that build a real player. Let’s get on the court and grind.

Mastering the jump stop and pivot is crucial for any player. Here, one of our coaches demonstrates the correct technique, followed by students putting it into practice. Strong footwork is the foundation of every great move on the court.

Repetition is key to perfecting your shot. This video shows a simple but effective layup line drill, where players focus on their form and finishing at the rim. We work on high-percentage shots to make you a more reliable scorer.

The Figure 8 wrap is a fantastic drill for improving ball handling and control without dribbling. I often use this exercise to help beginners get comfortable with the ball and develop a better feel for its movement around their body.

Teamwork makes the dream work. This clip highlights the importance of good passing and court vision, leading to an easy basket. We teach players how to move without the ball and create scoring opportunities for their teammates.

This two-person drill focuses on hand-eye coordination and quick reflexes. By tapping hands while dribbling, players learn to control the ball without looking at it, a critical skill for keeping your head up during a game.

Here I am demonstrating how principles from other sports, like the long jump, can improve your basketball skills. This drill helps build explosive power and body control, essential for driving to the basket and finishing strong.

Watch one of our dedicated coaches, Inesh Verma, as he goes on a shooting spree. His precision and consistency are a great example for our players, showing what's possible with dedicated practice.

About this collection

We don’t just throw you into a game. We start with the 'how'—your footwork, dribbling, and jump stop mechanics. Most adults come here to swap work stress for court time, so we keep the sessions high-energy but strictly focused on technical improvement. If you’re ready to actually learn the game and get fit, you are in the right place.

Why Basics are Everything

Whether you are returning to the court after years or learning to play for the first time, your performance depends on your foundation. At IB Sports Academy, we strip back the flashiness to focus on the core mechanics: ball handling, defensive stance, and shooting form. This is where you gain real confidence.

Our Training Approach

We train at Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka, on a modular synthetic court designed for shock absorption—so your joints stay safe while you work hard. Our 'Skill Development' sessions follow a specific structure:

  • Warm-up: 20 minutes of dynamic stretching to get the heart rate up.
  • Drills: 25 minutes of concentrated practice on dribbling, pivots, and shooting mechanics. This is where we break down movements so they become muscle memory.
  • Game Play: 30 minutes of referee-controlled scrimmages to apply what you just learned.

More Than Just Practice

This isn't about being a pro; it's about being an athlete. We see basketball as the ultimate fitness upgrade. Instead of staring at a treadmill, you are moving, jumping, and reacting. It’s a community-led environment where you meet people from all walks of life, leave the office stress behind, and find your squad. If you are looking for a basketball academy in Delhi NCR that values discipline over ego, come join us.
