About this collection
We don't just play games here. Every session starts with dedicated time for ball handling and footwork exercises. Whether you are learning to cross over or perfecting your chest pass, I am right there on the court with you, shouting 'chalte reh' (keep going) to ensure you build the muscle memory required for real matches.
Our Approach to Fundamentals
At ED Basketball Academy, we believe that fancy moves mean nothing without a strong foundation. Our Core Skill Drills cluster is where we turn raw energy into technique. We strip back the game to its essential components:
- Ball Handling: Stationary and movement-based dribbling drills to improve rhythm and control.
- Shooting Form: Repetition-focused practice to ensure consistent arc and follow-through.
- Defensive Footwork: Exercises designed to sharpen your reaction time and body positioning on the court.
The Training Environment
We train on outdoor hard courts with a synthetic acrylic layer at GD Goenka Public School in East Delhi, right behind Karkardooma Metro. Because we are an outdoor academy, we teach our students to be resilient. Rain or shine, the game goes on—this is how we build the mental toughness required for competitive play. During winter, we utilize floodlights to ensure your evening practice session never gets cut short by the early sunset.
Practical Details
We run sessions Monday through Friday to ensure consistency. Please note that we do not provide equipment; you will need to bring your own basketball (Size 5, 6, or 7 depending on your age group) and proper grip-sole shoes. We also maintain a strict coach-to-student ratio of 1:15 to 1:20 to ensure every player gets the attention they need. There is a one-time annual registration fee of ₹2,100, and we group players into Juniors, Sub-Juniors, and Seniors to ensure you are always training with peers of your own skill level.
ED Basketball Academy
I started this academy because I wanted to create a space where kids truly love the game. My coaching is hands-on and loud, focusing as much on your character as it is on your jump shot.
