Hearty Roots & Vegetables Grown Hydroponically
Fresh, soil-less produce doesn't just mean greens. Our root vegetables, from earthy beetroot to crisp knol kohl, are grown with precision in our Bangalore pods.
This is the kind of flower we grow for Valentine's Day. A perfect head of cauliflower, grown using hydroponics at our farm.
A head of broccoli, so fresh it looks like an ice cream cone. This is harvested from our pods and delivered straight to local kitchens.
A fresh harvest of beetroot and radish. These root vegetables develop beautiful color and intense flavor in our hydroponic system.
Freshly harvested turmeric root. We grow a variety of medicinal plants and spices in our pods, and turmeric is one of our favorites for its health benefits.
A close-up of a red cabbage growing in our pod. We use the same nutrient solution to grow a variety of crops, from cabbage and basil to peppers and brinjal.
A healthy Chinese Cabbage plant. We are always experimenting with new varieties, including red cabbage and red turnip, to expand our offerings.
Knol Khol, also known as German turnip, is another one of the 60+ crops we have successfully grown. Its crisp texture and mild flavor make it a unique addition to our list.
The intricate leaves of a red cabbage beginning to form a head. We are continuously experimenting with new plant varieties to grow in our hydroponic systems.
A red radish growing in our aggregate media. This soil-less method allows us to produce clean, crisp root vegetables.
Unusually shaped but perfectly tasty radishes grown in our pods. The hydroponic environment sometimes produces unique forms, but the quality remains excellent.
About Hearty Roots & Vegetables
Growing root vegetables without soil might sound like a paradox, but it is actually about precision. By using inert aggregate media, we eliminate the need for pesticides while ensuring our beetroot, radishes, and turmeric get exactly the nutrients they need to develop their natural, earthy sweetness. You get the crunch without the grit.
When we talk about root vegetables, people usually think of heavy, soil-laden crops. In our pods, we have removed that variable entirely. By using inert aggregate media instead of field soil, we manage nutrient uptake so the plant focuses its energy on flavor development rather than searching for minerals in poor-quality earth.
This means when you slice into our radishes or beetroot, you are not just getting a clean vegetable, you are getting produce grown in a controlled environment. We track the growth cycle closely, often taking about 45 days for a purple radish to reach its peak. Because we grow in these pods, we can produce variety year-round, including turmeric, cauliflower, and knol kohl, regardless of the season outside.
If you are a chef looking for consistency or a home cook tired of scrubbing sand out of your veggies, our approach changes the prep work. These vegetables arrive at your kitchen with the same high standards we apply to our leafy greens: uniform, pesticide-free, and nutrient-dense.
Hydrolore
We started Hydrolore because of a childhood curiosity: plants are living things that sleep and thrive. Dr. Gowsiya and our team have turned that wonder into a science, proving that you do not need acres of land to grow honest, nutritious food. We are just here to share what we have learned.
