About Music Room Sessions: Find Your Confidence
You don’t need to be a pro to take the stage here. At our Music Room Sessions, you'll perform with the same Yamaha keyboards, acoustic guitars, and drum kits you use during your weekly classes, so there are no surprises when the lights go on. It’s just you, your teacher, and a friendly crowd ready to cheer you on.
Most music schools keep you in a practice room until you're perfect. We think the real learning happens the moment you stand in front of an audience. That’s why we host our Music Room Sessions every month at our Whitefield center. It’s not a recital with judges and strict rules; it’s a casual, low-pressure jam where students get comfortable playing live.
Whether you're learning guitar, keyboard, drums, or violin, these sessions help bridge that gap between playing at home and performing on a real stage. Seeing six-year-olds like Utkarsh confidently play piano, or students covering 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' shows what's possible when you strip away the anxiety.
We set up a proper, yet intimate, performance space right here in our studio. You'll use the same amplifiers and instruments we provide for lessons, which helps keep things familiar. These sessions are perfect if you're working toward Trinity College London or Rockschool (RSL) exams, giving you a chance to test your progress in a real-world setting. If you’ve been hesitant to play for others, this is the safest place to start. Drop in for a trial class, meet our community, and see the Hum & Strum difference for yourself.
