We run small group dance classes for all ages where you learn Bollywood, hip hop, and contemporary styles, with a chance to perform on stage and try a free class before joining.
Pricing Guide
Standard Weekly Batch (4 Sessions)
Program Structure
- Frequency: 4 sessions per month (once a week).
- Duration: 60 minutes per class.
- Batch Size: Small cohorts of 4 to 8 students for individual attention.
- Curriculum: Rotational mix of Bollywood, Hip Hop grooves, and Contemporary movement.
Studio Specs
- Flooring: Impact absorbing wooden laminate to protect joints.
- Ventilation: Non AC, naturally ventilated space with ceiling fans and large windows.
- Amenities: Full length mirrors for form correction.
Administrative Terms
- Makeup Policy: 1 to 2 makeup credits allowed per month if notified 24 hours prior.
- Digital Access: License to use the Hum & Strum app for scheduling and lesson logs.
- Events: Eligibility for internal recitals and annual mall concerts (costumes not included).
Intensive Twice Weekly Batch (8 Sessions)
Class Dynamics
- Frequency: 8 sessions per month (twice a week).
- Pace: Faster choreography learning covering full song routines.
- Focus Areas: Detailed expressions for Bollywood and complex footwork for Hip Hop.
- Value: Lower effective cost per class compared to the weekly plan.
Performance & Exposure
- Stage Opportunities: Priority selection for lead dancers in the "Cacophony" concerts.
- Live Jamming: Unique practice sessions synchronized with live music students (drums/guitar).
- Media: Regular features in student spotlight videos and social media reels.
Infrastructure & Policy
- Studio: Access to Whitefield studio with professional grade wooden flooring.
- Props: Use of scarves, sticks, and other props based on routine requirements.
- Flexibility: Higher rescheduling allowance (up to 2 classes) subject to 24 hour notice.

Why We Dance
At Hum & Strum, music is our jam, but dancing just brings out a whole new side. Our dance classes are all about finding your groove, not about who’s the best or the fastest. If you’ve ever wanted to try Bollywood dance lessons for adults, or just want a space where you can shake a leg without any judgement, this is it.
What You’ll Learn
We keep things chilled and energetic, mixing styles like:
- Bollywood (for those full-on filmy vibes)
- Hip hop (if you want to try those street moves)
- Contemporary (go with the flow, express yourself)
Our batches are super small - usually 4 to 5 people. This way, you actually get noticed, not lost in the crowd.
Who Can Join?
Kids, adults, total newbies, or folks who’ve got some moves - everyone’s welcome. We split our classes so you’ll be with people your age. Parents, you can actually join your child at the same time if you want.
More Than Just Classes
We don’t just practice - we perform! Our dance performance opportunities include smaller indoor gigs and a big, mad concert every year called ‘Cacophony’. If you’re nervous about being on stage, don’t worry. Most of us were too, once.

- Classes on weekday evenings or weekend mornings
- You can always try a free class before deciding

My Story
Hey, we’re Hum & Strum. Started out in Whitefield, just a bunch of us wanting to jam and help others find their groove. Kids, adults, doesn’t matter - you walk in, you’re part of the gang. Our Music Room Sessions? Pure fun, bit of nerves, loads of laughs. We’re not just about music now - dance, yoga, art, it’s all here. 300+ students call this place home. Come as you are, leave with a smile.
