Our Design Process: From Concept to Final Handover
At House of Ruya, design is more than just a 3D render. We guide you from the first moodboard to the final site handover, ensuring every detail we plan on screen is built to last!
A look at the 3D visualization for an upcoming dermatology clinic project. We use detailed renders like this at the start of a project to help clients visualize the space and align on the design direction before construction begins.
This video shows the traditional, time-consuming process of creating our studio's red oxide wall. It's a labor of love, involving multiple layers of cement and oxide, followed by a curing period, to achieve that authentic, rich finish.
Frequent site visits are a crucial part of our process. This allows us to check the quality of work, solve any issues on the spot with our team, and ensure the design is being executed exactly as planned from the drawings.
About this collection
We do not just hand over drawings and walk away. From the first 3D render to the dusty reality of a construction site, I am right there with you. Whether it is solving a last-minute joinery issue or checking the exact curing time on a red oxide wall, my team and I stay involved until the very last piece is in place.
Our process is designed to remove the stress of renovation. It starts with alignment. We create moodboards and high-resolution 3D renders so we are both imagining the same final result before a single hammer swings. This is where we finalize materials, from cement finishes to vintage Chettinad accents.
Once the concept is set, we move to technical documentation. Creating detailed drawings for your site contractors, including lighting layouts, furniture joinery, and service integration, is the only way to ensure the plan remains accurate.
Execution is where the real work happens. I am a firm believer in showing up. Frequent site visits allow us to catch design failures, solve issues with our team (often calling out 'Bhaiya, check this' to get the details right), and ensure the quality matches our agreement. Whether it is sourcing materials or supervising a finish, we follow a transparent method. You will know exactly what is happening at every stage of your project. We also focus heavily on the transition from design to reality. Using traditional construction methods, like the specific layering required for red oxide floors, means we need to manage time and curing periods accurately. By maintaining a hands-on approach, we bridge the gap between architectural plans and the final lived-in reality of your space.
