- Pro Tip: Avoid mixing color temperatures in the same space. If you need a room to serve multiple functions, look for adjustable fixtures with tunable drivers.
The Essentials of Tiling
Getting tile work right is rarely about the tile itself; it is about the installation.
- Soak Them: Always soak tiles in room-temperature water for 20 to 30 minutes before laying. This removes trapped air bubbles, ensuring a stronger bond with the adhesive and preventing future cracks.
- Mind the Grout: Use epoxy or cement grout to fill the gaps. Don't be afraid to choose a contrasting color to highlight the pattern, or a matching one for a seamless, minimalist look.
