A healthy lawn starts beneath the surface. We do not just lay grass on the dirt. We deep dig the ground to remove stones, grade the surface for proper slope and water runoff, and layer it with nutrient-rich red soil. This preparation ensures your Mexican carpet grass roots deeply, staying thick and green through the Mumbai seasons.
The secret to a lawn that lasts in Mumbai's climate is in the foundation. Before laying any turf, we manually till the ground up to 8 inches to remove debris and old roots. We then enrich the soil with a 4-inch layer of fertile Red Soil, locally known as Lal Mati, mixed with organic compost. This combination provides the stability and nutrition your grass needs to thrive.
Once the soil is leveled and graded to prevent water logging, we roll out high-quality Mexican carpet grass. We use a heavy roller to press the sod into the soil, eliminating air pockets and forcing the roots to make immediate contact with the ground. This process prevents patchy growth and ensures an even, uniform surface.
Finally, we finish the edges with hardy border plants like Dwarf Pandanus or Spider Lily. These plants create a clean, sharp look that separates your lawn from paths or walls. We do not stop at the installation. Our team advises on the right trimming schedule and watering frequency, ensuring your new lawn remains vibrant throughout the year.
