Large-Scale Landscape Transformations for Mumbai Properties
Transforming empty campuses and vast grounds into lush, living green spaces across Mumbai. I handle everything from soil preparation to final tree planting with a focus on sustainable, biophilic design.
This video captures the scale of one of my large landscaping projects in the Kalyan-Dombivli area. You can see the different stages, from preparing the ground and arranging potted saplings to the final view of a sprawling, manicured campus with palm-lined avenues.
Here is a glimpse into the development of the Nature Vista project. I handled the landscaping from the ground up, installing curved flowerbeds with vibrant bougainvillea, planting rows of trees, and shaping the terrain to create a welcoming green environment.
A key part of my biophilic design philosophy is creating habitats. This space was specifically designed as a butterfly garden, using flowering plants that attract local butterfly species and create a lively, natural ecosystem.
A close-up look at the beautiful Champa (Plumeria) trees planted as part of a larger landscaping project. Selecting the right flowering trees is crucial for adding color, fragrance, and character to a garden throughout the year.
About Large-Scale Landscape Transformations
Before we even plant a single seed, I personally inspect your site’s soil and drainage. Whether we are prepping an empty plot in Kalyan or revitalizing a residential campus in Navi Mumbai, I ensure the foundation is right—using high-quality red soil mixes—so your lawn survives the harsh Mumbai monsoon and thrives year-round.
Bringing Nature Back to Your Space
A large-scale garden is more than just grass and trees; it is an ecosystem. When I take on a landscape project, my goal is to bridge the gap between urban architecture and the natural world. I move beyond simple planting to provide a complete makeover that changes how a property feels.
My Process
- Site Assessment: I walk the land to understand the slope, light, and existing infrastructure. This helps me decide where to place pathways and how to direct water flow.
- Foundation Work: This is the unglamorous but critical part. We clear the debris and lay a 4-6 inch layer of nutrient-rich red soil mixed with organic manure. This creates the base for everything that follows.
- Plant Selection: I choose trees and shrubs based on the local climate and your specific goals. If you want a butterfly garden, I select flowering plants like Ixora or Hibiscus to attract local species. For shade and structure, we bring in semi-mature trees like Champa (Plumeria) or Fox Tail Palms.
- Finishing Touches: A garden needs to be functional at night too. I integrate LED spike lights and bollard lighting along pathways so the space is usable and looks beautiful after dark.
Why Quality Matters
Many projects fail because they overlook the basics. My team focuses on the technical details—concrete kerbing for clear borders, automated irrigation for hedge beds, and precise grading to prevent waterlogging. We treat the ground like a canvas and the plants like our own babies, ensuring every root has the space it needs to grow. Whether you represent a residential society in Dombivli or a corporate office looking for a green campus, I am here to build something that lasts.
