I blend modern nutrition science with the heirloom wisdom of my grandmothers to help you build a sustainable, joyful relationship with food.

The banana plant is called a Kalpavriksha, or a wish-fulfilling tree, because almost every part of it is useful and medicinal. From the leaf which adds digestive polyphenols to your food, to the stem which is excellent for kidney stones and insulin resistance, this plant is a powerhouse. I believe in finding health in the foods that are already around us, and the humble banana is a perfect example.

This was a proud day, receiving my Master of Science in Nutrition from King's College London. My education in modern, evidence-based nutrition is the foundation I pair with the timeless wisdom I learned from my ajji and amma. This allows me to offer advice that is both scientifically sound and deeply rooted in our culture.

Many people believe sugar is the direct cause of diabetes, but the real issue is often insulin resistance. Factors like rapid weight gain, high cholesterol, or conditions like PCOS play a much larger role. My goal is to help you understand and address these root causes, so you can manage your health without fear or extreme restrictions.

When the monsoons arrive, so do the sniffles. This is Karkli, a traditional Malnad dish made from tender colocasia leaves, that my family has used for generations to boost immunity. It's a powerhouse of Vitamin C and A, and a delicious way to use local, seasonal ingredients to stay healthy.

It is dangerous to suggest that diet alone can replace psychiatric intervention for serious conditions like bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. As an AYUSH doctor from a family with a history of psychiatric disorders, I feel a responsibility to correct this misinformation. Food can support mental health, but it is not a cure-all and should never replace professional medical advice.

A snippet from a client conversation about the mindset around weight loss. So often, the goal becomes a number on a scale, leading to a cycle of achievement and disappointment. I guide my clients to focus on qualitative aspects like energy, stamina, and overall well-being, because true health is so much more than just weight.

My wedding was a zero-waste celebration, a dream made possible by my family. We used a sugarcane mantapa that later fed our cows, served food on banana leaves, and composted all the waste on our farm. This is a core part of my philosophy: living in harmony with nature is not just possible, but beautiful.

Are you making your green tea correctly? Using too much or boiling the leaves can make it astringent and drying. Here is a simple method to steep it correctly, ensuring you get its digestive and antioxidant benefits without too much caffeine or bitterness. It’s the small, daily habits that build a foundation for good health.

You've likely eaten colocasia leaves, but the stem is also a nutritional powerhouse, especially for managing insulin resistance. It's incredibly high in fiber, which helps stabilize blood glucose. I'm preparing a traditional monsoon dish, Cheepke dantin saasve, showing how we can use forgotten parts of plants for our health.

A quiet moment of gratitude. Being in nature, surrounded by the plants that heal and nourish us, is where I feel most at home. This connection to the earth is at the heart of everything I teach.

I don’t hand out generic diet charts because your body is unique. Instead, we look at your current lifestyle, medical reports, and history—whether it’s PCOS, insulin resistance, or simple gut health—and create a plan that fits into your actual daily life. It’s about learning to listen to your body, not just counting numbers.
