Home Haldi & Mehendi Decor
Core Setup & Backdrop
- Main Backdrop (8ft x 8ft): Draped satin/georgette fabric (Yellow, Orange, or Pink) or an artificial green foliage wall.
- Floral Work: Heavy use of artificial marigold strings mixed with fresh genda accents and hanging tassels.
- Signage: Neon signage (e.g., 'Bride to Be') or a wooden cutout board mounted on the backdrop.
Couple Seating & Flooring
- Seating: One decorated 2-seater Sankheda Swing (Jhoola) OR a bright yellow/pink ornate sofa with ethnic cushions.
- Flooring: A 6ft x 6ft rug or carpet in contrasting color to define the ceremonial area.
- Accessories: 2 Brass or Gold-painted Fiber Urlis placed near the feet with water and rose petals.
Props & Lighting
- Side Props: 2-4 colorful Rajasthani umbrellas or large Matkas (earthen pots).
- Photo Ops: Small selfie corner frame or decorated cycle prop (subject to space).
- Lighting: 2 LED Par cans to illuminate the backdrop.

Entrance & Walkway
- Entry Gate: 10ft wide floral arch (Theme: Sunflower, Carnival, or Traditional Genda) using high-quality artificial flowers.
- Walkway: 20-30ft long passage with printed flex or red carpet, lined with 6-8 floral pillars or hanging caged lanterns.
- Welcome Board: Easel stand with customized foam board design.
Main Stage & Photo Zones
- Ceremony Backdrop: 12ft-15ft wide setup featuring draped fabric canopies, tassel hangings, and dense floral header.
- Selfie Booth: 8ft x 8ft artificial boxwood (greenery) wall with custom neon sign and props.
- Seating: Elaborate couple seating on a raised platform (6 inches) with bolster pillows.
Guest Furniture
- Seating: Setup for 50 guests included. Choice of Gold/White Tiffany chairs OR traditional 'Mudas' (bamboo stools) with cushions.
- Table Decor: Round tables with vibrant overlays and mason jar centerpieces.
- Overhead: Strings of fairy lights or colorful bunting flags across the lawn area.

- Structure: Aluminum Box Truss setup (Goal-post style) for mounting lights.
- Intelligent Lighting: 8-10 Moving Head Lights (Sharpies), 12 LED Par cans for color wash, and 2 Blinders/Strobes. Includes light operator.
- Backdrop: Black/gold sequins (Shimmer wall) or darker fabrics accented with fairy light curtains.
- Dance Floor: 16ft x 16ft wooden dance floor finished with custom-printed vinyl or glossy white sheet.
Ambiance & Effects
- Entrance Tunnel: Walkway illuminated with overhead fairy light strings or bulb-filament hanging structure.
- Ceiling Decor: Hanging disco balls or fabric chandeliers over the guest lounge area.
- Special Effects: 4 Cold Pyro shots (electronic fireworks) and Dry Ice Fog machine usage.
Furniture & Bar
- Lounge Seating: 2-3 sets of VIP sofa lounges (Leatherette or Velvet finish).
- Bar Setup: One 8-10ft illuminated acrylic bar counter or rustic wooden bar structure with bottle display.
About Pre-Wedding Event Decoration
Creating the vibe for pre-wedding events is what I enjoy most. From Haldi to Sangeet, I bring my own touch, using colours and props that just make the place come alive. Been doing this since 2016, mostly around Noida and Delhi NCR, but I’ve gone outstation too.
What I Do Best
- Haldi and Mehendi setups are my jam. I go heavy on genda (marigold) for that classic feel or switch to boho-quirky with bright fabrics, umbrellas, and puppets. Pastel modern looks? Done those too.
- For Haldi floral arrangements, I use everything from marigold walls to foliage and even mix in some experimental stuff if you want something hatke (different).
- Seating options cover patlas, jhoolas, and floor gaddas with cushions - comfort with style.
- Always put up a selfie spot or photo corner with neon signs and props, because I know everyone wants those Insta moments.
Sangeet & Cocktail Vibes
- Sangeet lighting setup is a big deal for me - disco balls, chandeliers, fairy lights, and proper stage lighting to get everyone dancing.
- Set up dance floors (sometimes with LED), stages for performances, and create lounge zones with sofas, bar setups, and high tables.
Engagements
- Engagement flower arch or floral backdrops, soft draping, and a pretty couple’s stage. I can add personalized initials or signs, too.
How I Roll
You tell me your vibe, I’ll make it happen, whether it’s at home, farmhouse, poolside, or even out of town like Jim Corbett or Rishikesh. Seen all kinds of venues, sorted all kinds of last-minute jugaad (fixes). If you want something simple or full-on, I’ll tell you what works and what’s a bit much. Basically, I don’t promise the moon, but what I do, I do well.
